i wasnt expecting to rank up. i got the S on in my heart and i was taking out my iphone to take the picture. when that popped up, i pressed the take picture button, but didnt have enough time to take another after it went away ;_;

My friend, everytime i feel like shit while playing, i just have to think like that, play as if you're having fun. Heck, it's just a game, no need to worry about not being good. I had fun when i started technika, and so do many people. As for the game, I don't always use the scoring set even on an online machine, people focused too much on using those. But still we're all different, it's life.

And i might start working next week, so my chances of playing Technika are now slim.

- finished Cotton Candy for the first time. fucking Dear my Lady TP is an abomination but i managed to get through it anyway.

quite offtopic, but a friend gave me a randomizer stage where the song is Enemy Storm TP. i jack spam CROOOOOOVE until i came.

My play of Y got really bad because of the chorus part (the yellows), whenever i take it nice and slow, as if i follow the timeline with my fingers, i still break. but then, i didn't have any problem on the 2nd set of yellows, which is why it still bothers me.

My 'whatever' accomplishments:
- near failing WhiteBlue TP
- AC'ing In My Heart TP twice

800k is easily attainable even without FCing any of the songs, i recall getting 820k after also getting Sin TP, even after epic breaks on all songs but still MAXing the crap out of them
eg, 235 Y, 225 SSSS, 160 Fury, 180 Sin = 800

.. its getting 840k+ thats tricky, you really need FCs at least in at least SSSS+Y and a 200k+ in SoS
eg : 240 Y, 235 SSSS, 160 Fury, 200 SoS = 835 already, and thats a TERRIBAD fury/SoS

max for all songs
Y = 246k
SSSS = 239k
Fury = 186k
SoS = 229k
Sin = 208k

Heh, I guess you're right. I just have to be patient then.

Just played a few games in Megamall:
-Cleared the Electronica mission (the one that needs more than 300 combo to clear).

Yup pretty much it

Remember TP. i just found out that galloping (like what you do on a certain part of shoreline) the 8th's on the beginning part gives you pretty much some cools without risking too much on breaking your combo. i can AC that song even with the gallops.

even with a Prefect Play Y TP, that still isn't much to get me a better score since Fury and Son of Sun keeps pulling my score down. my average on SoS TP is only like 180k and i need 210k there to get a very good high score.

the key to really master Y TP's chart is to one-hand most of its parts, especially the yellow drags and the blue/pinks on the beginning. two-handing those can give you high risks of breaking your combo because of some glitches on those parts.

also on yellow drags, try to move your fingers earlier so that the timeline would be behind your fingers to reduce chances of breaking there.

I get what you mean, get more MAX'es and you're good, despite breaking, or even if your combo is low.

I understand what you mean about the 840k+, yep i actually haven't seen a player got that, highest i have seen was 836k+, and he had a 1200+ combo, which made me think that higher combos are definitely a plus, right?

About SSSS, I can't help but contemplate why oh why i couldn't get that 230k+ score until now despite breaking at most thrice on the chorus part.

SSSS = 637 combo, 239 226 max

1:21 , 354 is the most commonly broken note

therefore, 353 combo, (break), then 283 combo

353 combo PP = 129 155
283 combo PP = 102 256

just a single break there on that note will drop you to 231 411, at best
thats a 7815 score difference for one tiny little break, JUST one, provided you MAX'd everything else

It's just SO horrible to see that that ONE break can drop your score as much as it dissuades you to continue on and not break again.
