buying djmax?

so i've browsed through some threads and i couldn't really find anything useful.. if someone could update some of the 1st posts on the stickies that would be great [;


my question is i've been waiting for quuuiiiteee a long time now for the US release of trilogy as opposed to buying the overseas version (i am aware it has an english option).

however i cant find any updates as to it's release.. i've been reading sometime around december for months and months now but december is right around the corner and no news.

should i just buy the overseas version? or..?

im not completely in the know [i tend to come and go freely here] but i will tell you this: the main producer who made trilogy in KR has left production of dj max trilogy, which makes me seriously doubt a future release in america or even any significant addon on even the korean version. But in short, we honestly have no idea; outlook seems grim to me.

the december release date you mentioned was probably for the original trilogy, which came out december of last year, around the time black square came out as well.

I hope this kind of cleared up the questions you had.

edit: you asked what you should do, i belive that should be your own decision. speaking as someone whos probably played more trilogy than anyone else here, i find having ~120 songs including a ton of my favorites, missions, so many button modes, and ability of offline djmax on the PC pretty much made it a must buy for me.

I highly doubt there is going to be an American release. And even if there is, I know there are going to be some tweaks in it. I would go with the original and just but the over seas version.
In other words buy it. We may never see it in the states.

There's offline option for DJMax ? .. I thought the game doesn't let you start it, if it can't check for updates ?

If it fails to connect to patch server you can run the game anyway. The patch server is/has been down half the time from my experience.

Also you can run TR.exe to bypass patching totally.
