DJ Max Fever problem thread

It appears that Fever is LOADED with bugs, glitches, & typos, so I've decided that we should state all of the problems that we find into this thread. Hopefully, we can inform Michael Yum & PM Studios of the problems.

Typos:

Some songs are spaced incorrectly

The image section in Collection is FULL of mistakes. Songs are mislabeled when they're a different pic (i.e Ray of Illuminati No. 2 == Pic of Another Day) & some show the preview for the wrong picture (i.e one of the Astro Fight pics has both the wrong name of the song AND the wrong picture preview).

Some songs have typos &/or are written wrong (i.e My Alias is Myalias, Sin -The Last Scene- is Sin the last scene, etc.).

MV Edition has some bad engrish descriptions for some songs

Outlaw's description in MV edition is very stretched out

Glitches & bugs:

Songs not appearing in Free Style even though it says that there's new content

Ruby Spinal Gear (obtained at Lv. 47) does not work & causes the game to freeze at the song title screen after selecting a song w/ the gear equiped

Choosing NB Rangers on 8B causes the game to freeze at the loading screen.

Some copies are freezing after leaving Collection, but this might be due to the PSP itself & not the game. Only 2 people has been experiencing this problem, but still might want to check it out....

2 songs in MV edition only play the song preview when selecting songs in Stage or Free Style (Astro Fight & Sin -The Last Scene-)

Some songs in MV edition are off-sync (the song will start 1st before the video. On is VERY off-sync)

List mode doesn't work in OST. Only the 1st song will play

Chaos X does not work correctly, as it only makes the notes run on normal speed instead of making each note lane run at a different speed

The Aqua Spinel gear doesn't have the L and R button icons in 8B, as you get garbled graphics of the regular 6 gear buttons.

We can see Disk Link if ya switch between Collection & MV Edition really fast. Not a glitch really, but just something we've noticed

Any else experiencing any other problems, please post them.

For the M/V thing you could say that it actually PLAYS the preview of the song. It doesn't start at the beginning. So far we know that Astro Fight and Sin the Last Scene do this, but I don't know if there are others. I can go through and check.

Also I occasionally get a lot of lag when selecting a song if that's worth mentioning.
They should really fix the Engrish in the M/V descriptions. :P
Another thing is that many M/V's desync in M/V Edition. The song starts before the video does. (ON's video is way off, for example.)

Update: I went through all of the M/Vs of the songs you start with and the only ones with the preview problem are still just Astro Fight and Sin the Last Scene. If anyone has the unlockable songs can you try those?

They even made a typo in their new description for End of the Moonlight. "The story of a girl who files the night sky evoke a dreamy mood."

Also, the font in the description for Out Law in M/V edition is messed up. It looks stretched.

Not if they assumed Pentavision would do it, they weren't this bad on DJMax portable 2 since thats where all the gears came from, not to mention Portable 1 also wasn't this bad on spelling. Seems like PM Studios said "we'll publish your game, just make it, send us a copy to duplicate, slap our logo on it, and sell it." Pentavision didn't like the terms so they went "We don't like those terms," quickly changed a few spelling errors before PM Studios got it.

I'm only kidding... but since the spellings were perfect on P1 and P2, what caused them to be so terribly wrong. I'm not even going to start why they are messing with the song titles.

I totally have no idea but there were spelling issues on CE too until the update. MAN....

OST mode can be a bit buggy sometimes.

Songs previously marked as listed sometimes are mysteriously reset.

In list mode, occasionally the first song will only be played.

Pressing back (left) or forward (right) will then cause the game to freeze.

XCs will sometimes pause momentarily before being selected for play, particularly with Randomelody, Mix it up, and Russian Roulette.

Can anyone confirm if this is a firmware issue (official or CFW) or a certain model/mobo of the PSP?

I'm mainly playing it on my slim (PSP-2000, Japan import) with latest official US firmware and I don't experience this at all. Haven't tried it on my PSP-1000 (also import) though. Can't remember the mobo version either.

My US PSP-1000 has no trouble leaving Collection.

Are you guys being serious about this, because my game doesn't seem to have anything wrong with it, It doesn't lag when loading to the next screen. Maybe it only happened to the early releases

Yeah, I don't get many unexpected issues. It's slow at times, but that may be the fact that I have the PSP-1000.

The MV Edition videos playing preview music instead of the real music is definitely in there, too.

I have yet to discover much more than this, though.
