Next location test: 8otB, Dunellen, NJ.

They should have the machine sometime next week. I called them, but they won't have a specific timeframe until sunday night/monday.

Nice to see some east coast action; can't wait to use my shiny new platinum crew card ^_^

Doublepost for a crosspost from the 8otB/release date news entry --

8otB people, please do me the favor of checking whether or not your machine is updated and/or networked. Easy signs to watch out for --
- The presence of a network icon to the bottom-left of the screen (it'll be green if active)
- The presence of the Challenger Set in Technical Mode;
- The presence of any of the following in Pop Stage 1: AI, Here in the Moment, End of the Moonlight, PDM HD, SuperSonic HD, I Want You HD, Flea HD, Proposed, Flower, Wolf Part 2, and/or To You HD. IIRC, only the first two songs (AI and Here in the Moment) are accessible without a card/network access for sure, the rest I'm not too sure on.

As of last night, machine has not arrived at 8otb yet. But I will check everything you mentioned once it's here (I also have the platinum crew card from the Black Square LE to try out.)

The Philippines aren't highlighted (in fact, they're sorta blocked), as far as I can tell.

anyway, i'm still keeping my hopes up that Technika will made it at philippines (heck, Thailand got technika) since i've seen mechines of the newest PIU games at our malls here (what has PIU have to do with technika? well, they're both korean games.)

I do hope so.

We have stuff that even Thailand does not have (like GFDM V5, BM IIDX, DDR X and DDR SN2s everywhere here in the Philippines).....so if they get it, then there is no reason why we shouldn't.

EDIT:
We did have a location test done here before BUT IT WAS NOT ABOUT MUSIC GAMES. It was just some kids card game called "Animal Kaiser" that those three dudes from Namco Japan were testing.

MORE RANDOM TECHNIKA UPDATES leadin' up to the US release trying to stir up some conversation in here!

So in Korea they finished up three contests for launch of the final version of Technika over there and released the results today. One of them is a UCC (User-created content?) contest in which people submit the craziest Technika-related videos for a chance to win a Dell Mini 9. Top three winners were as follows -

Best Performance: Future Play (5+1 Tech Dance Performance) by Escape
Best Couple Performance: Childish Couple Playing I Want You by BEAR
Most Bizarre Performance: I Want You 2 by Simi

The first one's actually pretty good, the second one is pretty cute (also, hella good Sweet Shining Shooting Star cosplay) and the third one is plain wrong :<

Here's the post the east coast people have been waiting for. As of tonight, Technika has arrived at 8otB New Jersey!!!

Picture and more later tonight. Version appears to be the same as the Cali tests, so no network yet. Card reader works, but there are no cards for sale yet here, so you need to find one elsewhere (via Technika OST, BS LE, etc.)
