Yes, what you say is the truth of anything arcadeish making the jump from Asian to Western territories: something is always lost in localization. Initial D 4 lost its netplay. Mario Kart GP 2, except at particular arcades (namely, Gameworks locations) lost its entire save system (and it's a game that, if you've played it, relies *heavily* on the hope that you save). DDR had functional e-AMUSEMENT, but only in Naperville, Illinois.
But that's the thing: we were never spoiled on enhanced features of a game, because we never got them. We're spoiled by accessibility to the game, because it's not as ubiquitous as, say, DDR.
Of course, the argument can really go either way, so I'll stop that train of thought here. Quote:

To me, ragequitting basically involves giving up on the game because you suck at it.
But if you've played a game to death and can't find any more worth in it (until, in this case, PlatCrew happens), that's entirely different, and the 'rage' is justified.
As for announcing you're quitting until PlatCrew comes out? I'm definitely in the 'why not?' camp; I've certainly slowed down my Technika play loads. It doesn't do any good, but at the same time, it doesn't do any harm -- it has nothing to do with attracting attention at all.
You (and other players) just want to share that sentiment, and that's fine with me, even if you end up playing again the day after Kiva's tourney: whatever, que sera sera.

I'm not so much worried that Plat Crew is taking it's sweet time. I'm worried that it won't come out at all. If I had a crystal ball that could confirm whether or not Plat Crew will happen at any point in the foreseeable future, than I'd be more at ease. But with all the turmoil, who knows if PM/Penta will make it through?

But having a long, unnecessary discussion whether or not the whiners are spoiled, then arguing whether someone's an attention whore or not? Yeah, this argument itself looks like one huge paralympic game. I won't say any further. You know what I mean.
Still, I understand DJ Comet for being pissed off. Quote:

What does make me very concerned is not Platinum Crew (yeah, we all could use it, but then again, I know some people are still waiting for the Regional Network mode in SFIV to come out in the US- if THAT gets here before PC, THEN I think we have a right to complain XD), but as SpiritSnare said, the lack of influx of machines.
When I talked to Chris a while back, it seemed like Technika was going to be "the next big thing" for our faultering arcade industry. Gameworks, Dave and Busters, they all sounded very interested in the thing.
The first shipment of machines came out. And then? Nothing.
I haven't heard of new location in months. None in the midwest. None in the south. And if there's only a handful of machines out here, then what's the point of Platinum Crew? It's probably cheaper (and more feasible) to just ship out HDD updates to the 12 or so machines out in the nation, to be honest.
It makes me wonder- with no machines, no announcements concerning more machines, no announcements concerning new GAMES-
What IS going on over there in Korea, Pentavision?
Is the Metro Project something of a swan song? Or are they just tied up because of the lawsuit? Or maybe they really are just trying to tie up loose ends and give support to existing IPs?
It... leaves me very concerned.

If you don't like seeing criticism that you disagree with, I can only suggest that you build a bridge and get over it.
I don't particularly hold any one person responsible for this, and I think the people who do are joking, but I'm certainly not going to hold back criticism just because "other people have it worse elsewhere". In the end I can't imagine PM Studios or whoever are purposefully withholding PC just to be jerks, given that it'd increase the game's popularity I'm sure they want it added as much as we do, but there are clearly other issues at stake here. Regardless of the reason however, it is a flaw in the game and there's no point in sticking your head in the sand about it.

Who knows if another DJMAX title willl come out, ever. Then again, Metro Project was a huge announcement in terms of content and we didn't hear anything about it prior to the unveiling... so you never know.
At times I find myself listening to DJMAX-related artists so much outside playing the game because I get this impression that excellent music needs to be appreciated, and there just isn't enough people appreciating the sheer musical genius that comes through ia as unlikely a medium as you could think of (a video game). The common perception of music game music really is at the moment ear-blasting everything-sounds-the-same oh god can I have more DDR music (please, no), or the more esoteric genres from IIDX. Or of course, Guitar Hero - songs that everyone has heard a million times.
It's kinda sad really, when you think of the calibre of musicianship displayed by both old and new DJMAX crew (i.e. M2U, FE, NieN, Makou, Nauts, Croove, Bexter, Planetboom , Ruby Tuesday, bermei, Tsukasa, Lin-G, Sweetune, ReX, BJJ, God damn, I hate namelists because I know I'll miss names out*) not even being heard of by people who you -know- would appreciate their type of music. I'm not referring to the masses of mindless idiots scooping up Linkin Park or Lady Gaga or whatever fad of the month MTV is shoving down everyone's collective throats, either.
I do my part to appreciate the music. More than that, it's really up to God what happens in future. What with FE quitting Pentavision and rumors regarding ReX/M2U following suit.

Electronic Botique's tracks have always struck me as a tad too close to tone-deaf, but that's ok♥. Who cares about contemporary harmony when you can make shit sound as good as that. :V

:O It's like how SSSS is "Acin" House.
And I agree that there's a lot of artistic genius that is being promoted in these games.
Even if you have no idea how to play the game, listening to the music and watching the BGAs is already an experience by itself [with an added bonus of watching a competent player].
