Happy, happy Platinum Christmas indeed. | |

Plat crew announcement is probably the best bday present I could have asked for this year. Thanks PM

Marketplace Rating: 5 | I just got an idea...
Assuming these things use standard ethernet jacks for internet access...
I could presumably bring my netbook to the arcade, use my phone to tether internet via usb, then enable internet connection sharing on the netbook to get the machine online.
Possible?
(Edit: I know connecting a device that way is possible having done it a million times, but I don't know whether the machine itself has to be updated in order to utilize the global network, etc)

But Platinum Crew does do data downloading, as evidenced by Thor and Beyond the Future evidently being downloaded from the net.

I'm just wondering just to see if I can get some makeshift connectivity on the machine upon PC release. But yeah, we'd need more details. Quote:

If you have multiple machines in one place then you can also use a router to connect them all.

Marketplace Rating: 1 | Your arcade definitely has to pay for it, though, prior to access (hohoho). PM Studios has your machine's ID (because your machine's a legitimate US machine); I assume the server allows machines to connect to the network based on which IDs have been marked as "paid for PlatCrew".
