2. We've noticed that the screen can act a bit strange when dealing with multiple touches, especially during holds. Hitting a note immediately after letting go of a hold sometimes seems to cause problems in the note tap not registering for me (Y PP/TP does this most frequently.)
3. Yes, same thing happens on the 8otB machine. No idea why, (this never happened in beta build btw.)
4. I remember that the beta build also had this problem, could be due to no online?
5. Avatars require an online connection to register. That OLEDB person with the Melody avatar must be with Penta/PMStudios? Maybe they were testing Platinum Crew, all the retail hdd's include some of OLEDB's scores.
6. Some of the TP charts run at 2x, Freedom does as well.

@Dan 1. - Here in the Moment is a great song with a great chart. Also, likewise on Fate, but uu~ Here in the Moment~ 2. Hmm, that's weird; do you have a more detailed example, or footage of this in action? (Also, Dan - we've noticed the same thing, except with repeat notes; we've never been able to combo Fury TP because of it!) 3. That's only if you touch the screen during loading. To add to that, this is related to what ThatsGobbles posted earlier, about the first touch NOT registering - that's the bug that happens when you don't futz around with the screen. 4. I've noticed that as well. On the other hand, that note avatar looks snazzy! 5. OLEDB is the test player, yes. He's pretty competent and will give a handful of people a run for their money, but it is possible to take down all of his scores. As for avatars, to my knowledge, you're supposed to be able to buy them online once PlatCrew hits using Max Points, but I've never actually been able to confirm that. 6. This also happens with Freedom PP/TP, as Dan mentioned. I believe the speed will continue to be hardwired, as it seems like it'd be hard to do 2x without intentionally redesigning the chart to accomodate for pauses and transitions to the next swipe, and also for difficulty's sake.

I failed fury tp once when we got the final build and I've never failed it before, at the purple repeat notes.

Marketplace Rating: 4 | a few more things to add to the retail build quirks (btw, I'll be at CF AGAIN today to show a few more friends about Technika):
I think you might be mistaken, spiritsnare. The first sound glitch happens whenever the machine frickin' feels like it, to be honest. It seems that whatever place you tap to select your song, that point is held while the song loads... but it only happens to us with PC cards, due to the longer load times. Driving me CRAZY.
Last night's runs were much more successful, but touch accuracy still remains an issue. It seems the touches were running a bit on the high side (perhaps it's correctly calibrated, but the tilt on the touch screen makes it seem otherwise?). And yes, it does not like touches after holds.
Also, it seems that a handful of songs, both new and old, won't save to my card. Here in the Moment, Closer, Fate, and PDM all would not save- but the scores would be in the machine. Maybe in the update, then?

Does anyone have details on how much the arcade must pay for the internet fee? I am currently convincing my technician to buy this game for our arcade, but he refuses until we can get specific information. If anyone works at an arcade that has this game or has personal experience setting the service up, that would be great.

As of now, NOTHING has been announced for Platinum Crew aside that it WILL be available in the US. Cost of a machine is less than 10k to my knowledge and Dan. on the formus knows Chris Cotty personally and can get you in touch with him so your technician can talk to him about specifics. If you need any more info, PM me and I can forward the info over to Chris Cotty for you to see if it will be of any assistance to you and your location.

In light blue are songs that save scores to your card only if your card is registered online.
|
The songs you mentioned are these songs. So there's nothing wrong with the machine. It's just that you must have a card that's registered and the machine must be connected to the internet for these scores to save. Don't worry, once Platinum Crew goes live then you should be able to save these scores.

I managed to find a machine for 7,500 online (a steal compared to some of our most recent purchases!), so hopefully I can relay this information to the tech to help with the decision. It will help more knowing now that we don't HAVE to sign up for the online service. Thanks I'll tell the tech, and if he has any questions I will PM you. ^^

Official US machines should always have the PM Studios sticker on it, barring vandalism (people trying to tear it apart or mark it up).
