I spent ALL DAY looking for a place to buy a Platinum Crew card, and I finally got one, only to come home and just now find out that the system they use for registering for the Thailand Platinum Crew is EXACTLY the same as the one the Koreans use for, uh, seemingly every online game they have. You need to have a social security number for the country (and thus be a citizen).
ARGH
AAAH
UGH
I've already used the card offline twice too, so I can't return it (not that I'd be able to even if I hadn't used it) nor can I save it and use it in the U.S. or give it away now that it's got my name on it.

But yeah if you haven't played technika once before even watching videos online or watching others play, I'd still say rock Lite a 1 or more times to get the feel...

I did not see that.
I only remember the one guy in the back of the crowd at AX screaming about "how could a touchscreen game POSSIBLY be hard?"

1) If he's serious, bring him up, and have him play a game of Pop (go somewhat easy on them)
2) If he's joking, slap on the wrist. Joking about it like that is a no-no
If I was there, I'd feel an urge to slap the guy in the face. But that's just me.

1) how do you change your icon on the high score page? mine is just the normal platinum crew symbol but i see OLEDB's is the girl from Melody.
2) Platinum Crew
if all the people on the high score list got a "PERFECT" why is their score different numbers?
3) does using modifiers add a bonus to your score?

I won't be returning to the U.S. for another two months, by which I'll probably buy a new card anyways (I intentionally bought my second choice of card design so I could get my first choice in the U.S.... though it sounds like that plan may have spectacularly backfired on me)
I thought you said in your guide before that even though the cards can still be used offline in any country as long as it's the international build, they were hard coded to only work with the matching country's Platinum Crew service?

3) does using modifiers add a bonus to your score? | 1) You get to pick your avatar when you're registering your card's serial number for Platinum Crew for the first time. Avatar-changing system will be coming later, it's not even out in Korea yet.
2) There is a hidden accuracy counter for "MAX" and each "MAX" (not including 51+ combo bonus) can vary from 330 to 334 points.
3) Yes, I'm fairly certain effectors/modifiers add a small bonus to scores.

Also, no, the ability to select an avatar at the beginning is not the case to my knowledge; you purchase avatars using Max Points. edit My apologies; I totally take that back, I misread "avatar changing system" as just "avatar system" - sorta blew my mind, since every Korean score pretty much has an avatar on it. Is it too much to ask for pictures/screencaps of this happening? Quote:

I can try getting in contact with Mike Yum about that, though.
