Default DJ Max Trilogy Screen Freezing during gameplay

I've tried installing DJM twice on my Windows 7 64 comp, but the issue persists. When I'm in the middle of a song, the screen will freeze for a couple seconds and ruin my score or make me lose. What can I do? Tried running it in compatability mode for vista and xp, but that didn't help.

Any other fixes ?

I'd rather not mess with external programs ( solution 1 ), while the solution 2 does NOT work for me.

When I set the affinity to only 1 core ( I have quadcore processor ), then go play and check back a bit later, it's back to Affinity - 4 Cores .. Wtf ?

I'm seriously been pissing off majorly every time I play DJMax and once ever 3-4 songs it does it... And even usually so when I'm playing really good and striving for a new high score ... Arrrgh.

Lol it doesn't crash on me, it just keeps freezing. I set it to 1 core affinity but it still freezes -_-

My comp has 4GB ram so that's not the problem, and the freezing problem isn't even related to ram, or computer specs.

Please keep in mind, that you need administrator rights to set the cpu-affinity.

Try this:

Win+R -> taskmgr -> CTRL+Shift & Enter

There should be now the UAC promt. Try it again.

The problem appears because of the bad MultiCore support. RAM has nothing to do with that.

I am administator though and I have UAC disabled exactly because I hate running everything on administator to do something. => So nothing happens if I press Ctrl+Shift+Enter
