So... does anyone else's Black Square UMD skip... a LOT?

I mean, probably once every six songs or so. There's some notable recurring skips, like Heart of Witch, Secret World, Sweet Shining Shooting Star. It realigns itself when I pause, but goddamn it can screw up my combo sometimes.

The UMD does have a slight scratch mark on it. Is that to blame, or does everyone have that problem?

Sorry, I don't get that on my UMD.

I do have another sort of problem, though it may just be a loose analog nub. Basically the UI is saying I'm moving the nub (to the top left corner) and it creates sporadic bright flashes that can get pretty annoying.

Yeah, I've had that problem with BS as soon as I put it in my PSP for the first time. It will skip, and the music is then completely off with the notes.

The same thing happens to my friend also, so I'm assuming it is wide spread. My guess is it has to do with the green notes, considering they effect the background music.

Don't think my UMD ever did that, it's in iso format now. I'd highly suggest you rip it to iso and play it that way especially with the DJMAX series games, the load times are horrendous along with any slowdowns because of the disc. Link disc first of course, :P

If you are going to do the ISO way, make sure you patch the ISO first (and BACK UP YOUR SAVE FILES FOR BOTH, BLACK SQUARE AND CLAZZIQUAI!)

Both Black Square and Clazziquai Edition have anti-piracy protection measures that delete both, the corresponding ISO and the respective save game files itself.

Ah yeah, only happens when you run the UMD WITH BS/Clazzi .iso on the memory stick. Just remember to delete the iso when you run the umd or else it'll delete the iso and corrupt your save data.

I use the BS UMD because I have portable 1 on my memory stick, but yeah. Using the ISO really does cut the load times.

Gah, this happened to me when I got the game and decided to put it on my stick. All those hours of playing, wasted.

And that's such crappy anti-piracy. I mean I have the freakin' UMD, no need to punish me for having the .iso.
