Default DJMAX Thread

I've been playing the MMO rhythm game DJMAX since 2004/2005 (japanese version) and recently just bought the PSP game, and man it's great. If none of you heard of DJMAX, its a MMO rhythm game, quite like O2JAM except somewhat easier (5key and 7key modes) and better looking (more technoish GUI, BG movies, and customizable skin/note/avatars) and it's PSP game is just heaven on the PSP (recommends getting the 100% save from Gamefaqs though unless you want to go through a 90000 combo). I created a community for international players who play this game, and it was made also towards getting more rhythm game fanatics to play the game by helping them through the signup procedure (its in all japanese, so i made a translated guide). If you want more info on the MMO game, you can click my sig to visit the international community for the japanese MMO game and PSP game (korean MMO is the main version, but it requires a KSSN to sign up, and japanese version doesnt). If anyone has any questions on the game, either PSP or the MMO (about the MMO, a decent FAQ is on my forums so please look there first), you can just reply here or make a new thread there or whatever.

</rant>

With that plug said, post whatever you want here that pertains to DJMAX.

DJMAX Japan uses a "Premium Account" thing, right? Is there a list of what songs are limited to premium accounts? When I logged on to my old DJMAX Japan account I couldn't play so many songs even though I already had the files.

Unless you have to download the files from in-game (which takes forever @_@).

I agree that DJMAX Portable is the sexiest thing on the PSP though. I want a DJMAXP2 to come out, and it needs to have Space of Soul on it :<

Edit: Fixed songtitle

DJMAX Portable should have had wireless play, via ad hoc or infrastructure. That's the only thing it's missing.

...That and the horrible free play requirements. I'm never going to get everything unless I cheat... and you don't get higher dj ranks with a save. Still a Guest DJ with a little over 41% I believe.

Unbelievably amazing. I got the PC online version afterwards, and... it's just not the same.

Agreed.

Both the PC and PSP versions of the game are quite nice. I'm totally addicted right now

There's a rumor on other site saying DMP 2 will be released in December.
Haven't confirmed, probably fake. But if it's true... Omg.

Space of Soul*. Also, I REALLY hope is has WiFi play (like what djHAQ said) and downloadable song additions like Taiko PSP.

Well all I can say is that it will be hell. I don't know the specifics of this hell since I don't know anyone with a 56k connection, but you should really consider getting at least a cable connection... like now.

Once it's posted on the DJMAX JP site, it will be posted on DJMAX:US, so keep your eye on whichever one you want.

I believe it is playable on the Korean MMO but good luck getting a permanent KSSN to play that game.

Kaze Ni Onegai ~ Live Mix ~ (by Forte Escape) is such a cool song. And yet, it's not playable for the freebees, such as me...

Oh well, just dropping by to say DjMAX is a sweet massive music online game. All the 2DX players should download this and show their skills by duking other players online.

Somebody posted this quote "DJMAX > O2jam", and I couldn't agree more. Esp. the PSP version. Now you can play DjMAX where and whenever you want! Too bad there's no multi-play. Let's just hope Pentavision will release Vol2. in the future with Wi-Fi features

IMO, DJMax is a fair bit better than O2Jam. However, I like some songs in O2Jam and some in DJMax. I do think that DJMax has a lot more depth though. Plus, the interface is way nicer. If only more people played 7 key mode!
