Default DJmax Trilogy Bugs!!!

Is everyone else getting these bug?

When playing a song you dont actually have to press the right keys.. you can combo a whole song just by pressing one key and it automatically hits the right notes for you.. surely thats not ment to happen!

Also the sound keeps going off randomly and you only hear the sound of the notes your hitting.

Me and my brother are getting the same bugs.. will they fix this in an update?

I think that's Auto-Correct. Someone else wanna explain that (not very knowledgeable on Trilogy).

As for the sound going off randomly, do you mean you can only hear the notes when you hit the key when it's lined up w/ the red line?

those are new features from BS (call it Black Square or the other way :P) engine

as for auto correction - i guess you wont notice it that much in some fast crazy pattern song, so it is not bad at all... they introduced it in interview as new way to give players more DJing options lol... so you can press whatever button you want as long as your rhytm is good

sound keeps going off randomly - another new feature, if you miss green note (in BS), yellow note (in trilogy, or whatever color it is) music will stop... and then music will start again when you hit that "special" note again

so no bugs here, only "new features"

It's kind of fun to avoid the green notes and just listen to the raw keysounds.

Well if these are features then does anyone wonna buy my djmax?

Seriously why would they do that, if your break you break why would they possibly have an auto correction, that just messes up the whole point of djmax, the whole point is to practice and practice a song until you can finally combo it thats the whole point of djmax not having some silly auto correction, thats stupid, i dont even see the point in playing it now!
Surely you can turn it off at least!

no you cant turn it off... at least not atm

but seriously, it is all about how you deal with it
i am new to this series, currently practicing 5b and I can tell if I got autocorrected. If you dont do it on purpose it isnt that much bad... and still max combo is one thing but accuracy is another reason to train songs

EDIT:
+ here is official introduction to those "features":

In Korea, Pentavision has been working on the sequel to Portable 2 called DJ Max Black Square. So we said, let's just give them something new by adding the Black Square engine to Fever. No one really knows what that is [laughs], so I'll just tell you a little bit about Black Square. It features a new, green note that allows players to control the background music. So not only can you play the beats, but you can change the background music as well. It also features a new freestyle mode where you can push any button to match the beat, but it gets harder as you go along because you have to play with a lot of different combinations or your points will go down.

I still dont see the point in it.. i played the original pc djmax for like 2 years and that was insanely addictive but this just dont see like that anymore.. if i break i wonna break not have the game auto correct me.. i just dont see the point in that!

It also makes it too easy, i was pretty good at djmax before but i still struggled on mx and sc now after not playing the game at all for like a year and im able to complete songs that i couldnt before without even warming up.. its made it to easy!

yea I agree with you - they made it easier than old DJ Max (I dint play original one, but when I compare it with 1st PSP version) - the game now let you do more breaks (like real break, not that auto correct) before it will kill you. much more breaks tbh

and as for autocorrect - well if there are more notes at same time, you will get break if you only spam one button

i gues it is now much more about perfectioning song than about completing it (which mainly apply to MX/SC)

DJMAX has always been about perfecting a song. That was the entire point when DJMAX online came out. DJMAX P1 was toned down a little, but was still using the same frame counts for 100%s, DJMAX P2 was the one that eased the 100% frame window.

Sorry, I fail to see the problem here, you both so good that you can absolute max most songs in the songlist? So you're complaining that you've became too good for the game?

Wait a minute, you are comparing DJ Max Portable 1's timing window to DJ Max Portable 2's timing window on Normal difficulty mode, right? Because if that's the case, then DJ Max Portable 1 has a much larger 100% timing window than DJ Max Portable 2.

It's probably there to make the game just a little more accessible. In the end, it won't really help or matter when you play harder songs / become more skilled.

Sure, you can pass songs easily when you mash and rely on the auto correcting system, but you're going to end up missing out on the following:
-winning in network mode (most TR players are GOOD)
-actually getting better
-beating some of the harder score / fever based missions

It seems to me that if such a feature is so prominent to you, it is perhaps indicative of your current skill level.

To be honest, there are much more annoying things you could be ranting about:
-lack of returning to the last song chosen
-lack of random selection
-heavily gear oriented network play
-lack of note charts (especially for Oblivion)
-lack of legacy versus play
-gimped 7k mode

I believe you have not given this game enough of a chance to truly realize its flaws or appreciate its qualities.

Yuki Ijuin: I am not complaining about it, I dont mind it tbh (as I am noob it sometimes help me when I am practicing 5-6b), but I agree that for some old school gamers (Eminef) it could be "lame thingie"

Well put!

I'm not an uber pro maxing the scores out and im not a noob just mashing the keys, im just an average player that dont see the point in an auto correction feature in a game like this, the whole point is to learn and correct yourself if you break not to have the game auto correct it for you!

Thats what i dislike!

The game doesn't Auto-correct it for you if you don't press a key.
Like Xat said. It is very indicative of your skill level if you're still not familiar with the buttons to press at this point, it's akin to stepping on the left arrow when an up arrow comes in in DDR, anybody who is worth their salt won't do so, and as such it is a non-issue.
