It's a fantastic keyboard with a great, minimalistic design and a compact footprint that doesn't take up a lot of desk space.

It's light, yet sturdy and has great tactile response from the keys. They feel somewhat like laptop keys, and the immediate response you get from pushing down a key to the moment it registers on the computer is noticeably faster than regular keyboards.

But there is one major problem: YOU CAN'T PUSH MORE THAN THREE KEYS DOWN or it won't register. This makes it impossible to hit notes/holds that involve three or more keys. (Technically, multiple key presses are supported... But only on the left side of the keyboard, where the WASD keys are. Perfect for FPS gaming, I guess. But absolutely horrible for music games.)

What a shame that a fantastic keyboard suffer such a minute, yet fatal flaw for a game like DJ Max.

You're definitely better off getting the Tarantula. I ordered one from Newegg, and am planning to return the Lycosa sometime tomorrow.

I just wish the Tarantula's profile wasn't so XBAWKS HUEG. I could've lived without the macro and media buttons on the far ends, along with the removal of the battle dock. It could easily have been remodeled to be the same size, or even smaller than the Lycosa.

This would've been the perfect keyboard if it could only support more key presses...
Yeah, the tarantula is freaking huge, but it's still the best keyboard I've ever used. As for the Lycosa, tried one at a friends house and liked it, but then I read up and noticed that multiple inputs were online on the left side, which pretty much sold me onto the Tarantula. I've had this thing for 2 or 3 years now and it still works flawlessly.

I'm also kind of bummed that the Tarantula doesn't have the nice, rubbery coating each of the keys on the Lycosa have.

Is the key spacing, response and travel pretty much exactly the same though as on the Lycosa?

Pretty much, but some of the key spacing (Arrows, Num Pad area) is a bit more squished together, but I prefer it that way. I'm not a fan of the coating on the Lycosa keys... just doesn't feel right to me.

the launcher never properly patches my game so I just download the patch itself and just run the setup.
if you still get an error try disabling windows firewall.

Try disabling Windows Firewall.
Thanks Liddo for those solutions , i already patched the game to 1.17 (as to extract the zip content in my dj max folder) my Windows Firewall is disabled i even closed my normal firewall too... to no change

I've gotten the "Failed to Connect to Server" a few times... have you tried simply closing the launcher and and re-running it? That has always fixed up the problems I had.

No worries, solving your problem will help others who have similar problems. Also it's not fun if you can't play Trilogy online :O

Hmm, what OS are you using. Also are you using a router.

This sounds like the problem that I had.

Try editing the first part of your MainLauncher.ini to use my server:
Code:
[LAUNCHER]
PatchInfoFile=patch_info.xml
PatchInfoUrl=http://xat.uguu.us/djmaxtr/
ConnectInfoFile=connect_info.xml
ConnectInfoUrl=http://xat.uguu.us/djmaxtr/
GameExeName=TR.exe
