try
chdir C:\Users\(your computer's Username) or where ever you dl and extracted the djmaxtrv4 zip file. You need to know the exact directory.

THEN, do djmaxtr.exe /l 0


As for my problem, I'm reinstalling DJ max trilogy, might have been a problem with how I did the regedit method AND the mod..

Can you tell me what you did to avoid that connection error? I'm running 1.17 and getting the same error message on the launcher and a similar message when clicking network on the title screen (Korean or otherwise).

Well, you have to make sure you're not behind a firewall, that was my problem.

Damnit, not behind any firewall unfortunately, looks like I'll have to look into it.

EDIT: Strangely this was due to my LACK of protection on the PC. Trilogy doesn't seem to like not having a router firewall and won't let me onto the downloader/network unless I activate the firewall :|
So if anyone is DMZed and having issues, try turning off DMZ. This fixed the issue for me.

I already asked for help once but was ignored.

I took panda's fix. Extracted it to the Trilogy folder where the .exe's are located. Then I made a shortcut and right-clicked and went to Properties and did this:



[1440 900] resolution [1] widescreen (yes 1/no 0) [60] refreshrate (don't change it) [0] language (kor 0/ eng 1).

Just run that shortcut once and you'll see a DOS prompt pop up and its gone again. Then just start the game like normal. Change that last 0 to 1 and click the shortcut again to revert back to english.

Also, if you want the game to look good: let your screen do the scaling, the game engine is not good at scaling things. Especially movies and gear, you'll get white "edges" around some textures.

Here is a side by side comparison of the nice screen rescaling and the ingame engine rescaling:

The left side is a screenshot at native res that has been resized with an image viewer. This IS optimistic on the rescalers inside screens, but most are at least adequate to be better than what the game engine can manage.
The right side is the actual game running at that resolution.

I don't think I need to say why the right side is worse.

Now if I can only get the gibberish into actual Korean... This is really killing my communication skills with the other players in-game..

Yesasia apparently doesn't carry it. I know of no other places to get it unfortunately.

Do the order from Playasia before 24th though. I think regardless, Lunar New Year is definitely going to drag your order since Playasia is still Asian and run in HK. >_>"

Anybody encountering problems when trying to add friends? Everytime I rightclick a DJ and tries to add them windows XP crashes my DJMAX TR to desktop. >_<

I met a really really cool korean dood too. ~_~

Edit: Also, even with applocale, (Not to mention I have unicode for Korea and Japan turned on in Regional settings) I can't view the Moonrunes in Network mode. I've tried making shortcuts for both the patcher and the TR.exe. At least the patcher is legible korean now. Any idea what I might be encountering here?

I just ordered it x] it went back to shipping within 24hrs. Hopefully will get it by next week.
