In any case, i do plan on breaking out of the 5k and expanding that (heck to make full use of the game, i should be mastering all play modes), but 5k will just be the starting point since that's what i'm used to. I may even go back to 4k since i can't use spacebar for 5k anymore (well i shouldn't be if i want to get used to 6k, 7k, or even 8k charts so i should retrain the way i play), so i'll get some practice later.
I just got the game in the mail this morning, but had no time to even play it because of work, so i can't try it until later

Well the work day is already half over. I thought of it this morning, but I didn't want to, so to speak, spend $65 by not working to play the game, or just earn my cash and come home and play it tonight. I was already sick like 3 weeks ago and missed 3 days. That's was an unpleasant chunk of my paycheck then >< | |

lol i heard looking around here that most action happens at night (since its usually daytime for the koreans and most everyone here will play at evenings due to work/school/etc)
In any case, when i get home, i'll need to practice at least 5k again using an alternate setup that doesn't use the spacebar (one that'll help me in 6k as well), and try that. Then after a few games solo i guess then i'll jump in for network play since that's what I liked about DJ MAX is competing against others, especially when others have lost and you're the only one still truckin'
I remember a time back when in DJ MAX Korean (this was at some years back), where when you pick Random, there's a chance that you would either get Oblivion SC or JBG SC, even if you were premium or not as long as you random'd inside i think a Free room. (not sure if Hard level worked or not, maybe it was hard)...
In any case, we had a Mission Lv3 of JGB SC... the best part of it was near the end, we had a Slow + Bombs coming up across and by some miraculous thing, I was the only one to wade through the minefield, even without having any awesome +hp tables or anything (and at level 18ish as well).. In any case those were good times cause it was the only time i could try showing off since most of the time others did better than I did (and in any case where i did do better, many times i would be kicked)... I wish the online version would come back though, even in English this time

We need more people online >< also, more average people online... It gets boring sometimes only playing with those who 99.9% everything you play while you only do anything between 95-98% on the same songs, and then be unable to talk to them either...

I'm terrible at the game but I love it anyway. I only played online one time and I got killed 3x in a row and got the infamous Loser emblem, lol. I may try some online again soon, if you want someone you can probably beat, I would be your guy.
You guys still do the thing to prefix the room name with [BMS] and use the person's DJ name that created the room as the password?
