Arrow [ez2on] GamePads/External Controller Discussion Thread

Hi,

Im new here and it's my first post .. blah blah blah .. leave that aside n' let's get down to business.

I know everybody or at least almost everyone wants to try playing their fav. rhythm game
using a controller they had.

well .. I've been messing around n' i have found just the right software for this purpose, it's called Joy2Key
and it's free , this smart ass software will let u remap any button on ur game controller
to any keyboard key or even mouse's
, I've read also that it's works with DJMax Online
but I didn't have the chance to try it my self b4 all the servers closed down.

So, now I gave it a shot with ez2on, and i remapped my Arcade controller buttons which has USB out cable

accordingly to the buttons i use in the game

I ran the game all excited ... but it didn't work :'(

Tried a PSX controller using a PSX\PS3 conveter adapter

no use either, I thought it doesn't accept USB devices, but a USB Keyboard still work for the game.

... I wanted to keep trying other softwares that does the same as Joy2Key, but when i saw this RED X icon during ez2on is running

It's a Game Secure software, and what im trying to do is considering cheating i guess,

so i had no choice but to try to hardwire mod a keyboard and connect it to a controller, I have started that just few hourz ago, i thought u guys whom interested to keep trying other remapping sofwares on the mean while.

and if anybody knows this all plz tell me anything useful.

Peace Out.

For me it works great with my PSX, Xbox360 and Wii Classic Controller.
All done with joytokey and glovepie

Well .. i have hardwired an old keyboard PCB to connect it to a custom controller im
building, and it worked flawlessly,

White n Blue buttons are the notes

Pink button is Delete to disable and enable BG

the Orange buttons to control speed

- I have tested it and captured a video but it got erased, i will make another video
when the controller 1005 ready, going to implement a speakers there, and a CD motor spinning all the time to give it a DJ look!

I've been using JoyToKey for a long time, I stand by it. Makes using my PSX controller for emulators alot easier plus using rhythm game controllers on your PC as well.

The Wiimote is HID, so for this you need GlovePIE.

Hehe this Thread gives me the motiviation to work on a Taiko no Tatsujin Portable Wiimote Script. Must be fun to play the Game this way

Joy2Key probably create a kind of " Script " in windows to remape , and Ez2on can see the software.

Is there a way to remap the key by using a windows script , making it invisible to Ez ?

maybe we should see the performance of the DAO pad...
and then we'll figure out how Xtrap works with ez2on to enable a functional pad on the game
