having trilogy problems

seems like when im playing any song, the keys don't activate any sound, so all i hear is bgm without key triggering notes. this is on my machine with vista. however when i play it on my bro's computer with xp on it, it works all fine. anyone else with this problem or anyone know why it's doing this? I really hope it's not cuz of vista. other than that, im not having any other probs.

I'm not sure, but just try going into the game settings, maybe the effects volume changes the keysound volume?

Also I'm running on Vista with no problems, it also runs on 7 for me fine.

Also try updating your sound card driver, might just work.
