I just ordered DJ MAX Trilogy off of play-asia and I was wondering what I should expect from compatibility or playing issues. I have Windows 7 Professional (full version from Penn State), about 2.3 GHz of memory, upwards of 85 GB hard drive space, and an Intel Mobile Graphics Media Accelerator driver (yes I'm using a laptop).
I'm asking this before I receive it in the mail, which should happen within the next week or so. Would this game have any issues running the usb key or anything else? I read somewhere that there were problems like this on Windows 7. Also, I don't have much intention playing online so is there some kind of single player mode without network? Sorry if that's sounding nooby, but I'd like to know. Thank you.

And yes, it has a few single-player modes (Stage Mode, Free Mode and Mission Mode). In fact, most Trilogy players dwell in those single-player modes trying to achieve discs and clear missions that you can hardly find any souls in the network lobby. If you're unable to connect to the network lobby, you may want to try the instructions at Djmaxtr.com.
One very, very important thing to note: once you've patched to the latest version, the USB key will NO LONGER work with previous versions of the game. Why is this important? Because they goddamn stuck a non-optional auto-correct crap into the game in one of those patches. You may want to search through the forum regarding the various opinions on the auto-correct crap before deciding whether to patch or not.

EDIT: Let's say I uninstall this game because of some corrupt files or whatever would happen that would cause me to reinstall it. Would I have to update to the newest patch before I'm allowed to play if I updated to the latest patch before I decided to uninstall it? IE would the USB key work with it?

You may want to read the Google-translated changelog here: Google Translate
I'm not sure whether the latest version is required in order to play online, but it probably is since there are gameplay adjustments made in the patches as mentioned earlier. And yep, once the USB key is patched, and in the event that you have to re-install the game, you'll need it patch it to the same or later version as the USB key or otherwise the game wouldn't run. You may want to download an offline version of the latest patch in case you have to re-install the game and there's no internet access at that point of time.

Please keep in mind that Dual-/QuadCore-Systems WILL cause a lag of over 1sec. ingame. This makes it impossible to reach good statistic. (The screen just freezes for a short period of time)
I've found a solution:
1. Solution: Download PriFinitty and configure it, so TR.exe runs with only one CPU-Core. You have to configure it only one time, but you have it to start automatically with Windows.
2.Solution: You start the Taskmanger and set the CPU Affinity to just one Core. This solves the issue too, but you have to do it everytime when you want to play the game
Known Bugs:
Sometimes the game crashes when you swithing between channels in Network-mode. Its a minor Bug afterall, you won't change to another channel except 1 becuase its the only one with people in it.

I'm running it from my surprisingly cheap Compaq Presario laptop with 99.9% perfection (it lagged at times when I went into 3x Fever with long note streams, but that's easily fixable). I'm running it on Windows 7 Professional with absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Thanks to all who helped out!
