Yeah, come to think of it, fuck this game. What was I thinking playing it all this time... I'm a skillless fuck who shouldn't be allowed to enjoy this piece of trash.

Haha, whoa, let's not go reading too much into his post now. I know it was a hasty comment, but he by no means said you cannot enjoy the game. He is voicing a legitimate complaint about the nature of one particular aspect of the game.

One thing worth noting is that the tech stat makes it difficult to compare scores. Are they on an even playing field? It is like changing the judgement/health difficulty on any other game -- be it DDR, Stepmania, Pop'n, what have you.

Past that, there is a requirement to grind for stat changing equipment. It seems a little out of place in a music game, to be sure. Everything is getting the MMORPG treatment these days, it seems. In my opinion, having to "grind to get to the real game" is a huge drag.

It's still nothing compared to having to grind just to play x level of charts.

Well, to be really honest I'm actually more annoyed at he +AUTO stat (along with autocorrect) vs MAX COMBO discs than I am at the +TECH stat.

The unlock system along with the fact you need X amout of investment to get the same +TECH as most other people posting scores does give you incentive to come back to the game and sometimes play stuff you wouldn't otherwise have (i.e. reviewing songs for missions which give a shitton of xp/cash on first clear).

As a grind it doesn't really seem too bad, but then again I guess I shouldn't be particularly be commenting about grinds since I'm a freak of nature. Different strokes, for different folks, I guess. The levelling/unlock curve seemed perfect to me.
