So hey, a friend in SoCal got some pictures of a DJ MAX Technika at their Wal-Mart.

Is it the one listed in the headlines?

And this is what I need clarification on. Is this enough to tell what version this is and what capabilities it has? I'm not sure if it can do all the platinum crew stuff. I guess it does cards though?

So there you go. If you want you could post an update in that locations thread on the bemani forums to update them on it. I'd do it if I had an account, but I don't really need to be on those forums. If it's the full version they need to change it to reflect that. It's 25 cents per play and they do NOT sell the ID cards.

So yeah, what version is this?

Did he say it's $.25 per play??? Sticker says $1 on the door... lucky if it is.

So yeah, what version is this?

Final international build (it has the NET icon next to the ID card icon), so if/when the U.S. gets Platinum Crew, it's capable of that.

Speaking of Platinum Crew, I've noticed that every single machine that has it or is supposed to have it here has a dedicated (usually Netgear, if it matters.) router. I don't know whether the router is explicitly required because every location happens to have at least 2 machines (requiring the router anyway), but is something to note as a sort of extra cost towards getting Platinum Crew in individual locations.

I'll never get it there now, all that's left is crappy crane machines and a redbox dvd rental kiosk.

hmph,

I called the tilt in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, apparently they can't control what arcade systems they get, the clerk even said the chances of getting the game are some to none! The only things I ever see there are the same dang stuff, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, Tekken, Gauntlet, Carn Evil, Time Crisis, etc.

The only rhythm game they have is DDR, and it's a really old Japanese version. I don't like DDR.

looks like I'M GOING TO HAVE TO LEAVE THE ******* STATE TO PLAY IT!!!!!
