what I really liked is that the whole game is so cute (^_^)
it uses a lot of 3d graphics, but unlike krazyrain, the game is not slow.

hope that I'll be able to register a personal account someday

Edit : Thanks to LatecomerX, I finally have my own account, :happy!!: A big thank you for everything, Late, you really are a nice person, I love you.
Heh. I never got a chance to thank you for your contributions to the EZ2ON wiki (though it's not of much use now since EZ2ON's closing down), so I guess this would be one of the few things I could help you with.

I only made few contributions to wiki, I wish I had time to make more, but anyway since it's closing...

here's a screenshot I took while I (nadeshiko) playing with you(lilhoro) without even knowing it was you :

now that I know your ingamenick, I want to go back to the game to see of you're still there but I can't log in anymore. I'll try to figure out why this is not working

edit: I cleared cookies and others stuff from ie, and now it's working again, you were there, but you left whithout saying anything

I didn't know either until you introduced yourself, but I was already guessing it was you then, since it's especially uncommon to see English usernames there.

Ok, I found out about creating a single room in Popstage. In the lobby (refer to my very first screenshot up there), just click on the third icon (a headphones with a red star in the middle). The single mode is similar to the one in O2Jam - you don't gain any EXP or Points in there (in fact it deducts 10 Points per song), but you get to choose to play any of the 100+ songs available, which includes some O2Jam classics such as:

The notecharts are pretty similar to the O2Jam ones with the exception of Visual Dream, which was made more challenging - and I think it should have been that way. (VD in O2Jam: Lv 16 on HD, Gaussian Blur: Lv 50, whereas VD here is Lv 23 and the hardest song here is a Lv 29.)

I got an account! My Popstage name is "purpleout". Thanks so much RESG!

So far I am thinking it is a pretty fun game, but I am still a little confused about how the multiplier works...

As with O2Jam, the hardest song in the game is a classical, with Flight of the Bumblebees HH at Lv 29.

If you're a fan of Brandy or Red Pulse from O2Jam, their lineups -should- be in Popstage as the tunes were made by Mgame. I can't verify that, though as I don't really have the time (or inclination, to be honest) in installing and starting on yet another online music game.

I really love the songs of this game, I also do like some others features in the game, for example, not only you can customize your character by buying new clothes and accessories, but you can also buy new gestures and assign them to F1-F8, eventually you can create a sequence of gestures and... ... ... what ? no one care about that ? but I do, it's really cute you know...

anyway, like latecomerx was saying, you can play within cooperation mode (협력 모드) but there si also a war mode (competition) : 대전 모드, these are the channels on the right.

just a little explanation on this :
there are different kind of channels :
cooperative / war mode
fore each of the categories there is also at the bottom, some "classic"(클래식) channels, but I don't really know what these are since they are always empty.
and each channel is either with a conversation space (대화공간) (where you can move around and see others), or game only (게임전용) , when in a game only channel, you only see the list of available rooms. When in a conversation space channel, you can either move around and look for people hosting a room, or show the roomlist or userlist with the buttons on the left.

there is a lot of others things to say, that are not easy to understand if you can't read korean, but well, i'll talk about that later.

when you are in a room, the commands are obvious, no need to explain them.

the checkbox in the launcher is to start the game with minimum configuration(in case you were wondering)

why I am saying all this ? because the game is 99% korean (not a lot of enlish like in some other games) and it's not really easy to figure out how the game work when you're getting started.

maybe, we should create a wiki about this game, to explain how it works... oh wait, this remind me of something, I said the same thing about ez2on, and as a response, latecomerX created a wiki, but in the end, I did not put a lot of stuff on it(but I did started to do something : http://ez2on.info/Lobby), and only few people used it

Wow, thanks for the info! I wonder how you managed to translate all those text (I wish I could copy and paste them into Google Translator).

For the classic mode, it's very similar to O2Jam and EZ2ON - you play through the entire song without any breaks (Show Time) in between, and no, there's no dancing and all that fancy stuff (hence "Classic"). RESG posted a video link to Ashura playing Classic Mode in the first post of this thread, so you may want to check it out as well.

And I suppose the empty channels I see most of the time are war channels and conversation channels?

Hmm...if there's enough translated content for Popstage, I don't mind setting up another wiki though, maybe at Wikia this time. It would be really useful to be able to find all that Popstage-related information in one place.

Yep correct. If you're in GMT +2, you may want to look for Ranmakun and Peat to join you. I'm in GMT +8 (it's 3.50am here and I'm still posting) and have only seen Flore online so far.

well, I do not speak korean, I started to learn the basics, but did not go very far, what I did however was to learn the korean keyboard layout and how to input hangul, now I can input some korean text quite fast , even if I don't know what it means (but I do know how to pronounce it, cause I learned the pronunciation of jamo, it's usefull sometimes to know it, (just like the Japanese kana), for exemple, if you see this : 디 제 이 맥 스, I guess you have no idea of what it means, but I'm pretty sure you already saw it many times. want to know what it is ? you don't need to understand korean, just to know how to pronounce it, I let you search what it is)

I played in classic channels before but I did not realize that there were no "show time", now that you say it, I remember it.
but you still see the character dancing in the background unless you turn it off.

that's true, most of the time, people are all in the "coop, non-classic" channel, which is a "game only channel". But at some times of the day, there are few persons in the free "war mode" channel (the one with a FR(free) in it's name)

edit : by the way I'm in GMT+1. but it depends of when you are awake. LatecomerX, you're still here but it's really late where you are (or early I'm not really sure, lol)

Heh it's "DJMAX", though I don't really remember seeing it before. And I do sleep at irregular hours especially during weekends. I would like to ask, how do I turn off the background dancing? (I wanted to asked this when I started playing Popstage.)

why do you want to turn it off ? the game will loose most of it's cuteness if your do that..

the thing is that by the look of the video I assumed that there was a way to disable it, but could not find any, sorry.

oh and I'm online right now, but maybe you're still sleeping (but it's 6pm where you are)
