Default Is the PSP 3000 Interlacing Noticeable on DJ Max?

Hello everyone,
I was wondering in your opinion, if it would be worth to upgrade from a PSP 2000 to a PSP 3000 playing mostly the DJ Max titles. I read the screen is much more vivid and the buttons are more comfortable. The thing that is scaring me away from purchasing a PSP 3000 is that I keep seeing negative reviews about how noticeable the interlacing is. Any advice/opinions would be helpful ^__-

I own a 3000 and have absolutely no problems. I've had all 3 gens and I love the 3000, especially how nice the colors are and the feel of the 3000.

Remember that you can not transfer game saves from DJMAX Portable 2 through Black Square to different PSPs because they are locked to your PSP.

So if you already have a save file from Portable 2 or a more recent game, you will have to start over (unless there's now a method to transfer them that I don't know about).

Thanks for letting me know slayerr2314, that is a major bummer. But if the game is much more vivid looking then I'll start from scratch again, I just starting playing DJ Max in May and love it so much I saved up and got all 4 games.

I love your avatar... I even bought a Blythe doll off ebay (I bought the cheap American reproduction version), I am customizing her right now. Originally I wanted her to look like the doll from the game but now I'm going in a completely different direction with white hair and lamb ears. I love DJ Max so much! I hope they keep making more games!

It really is unfortunate that saves cannot be transferred (the save of DJMAX Portable 1 CAN be transferred though). It makes me kind of worried in case something were to happen to my PSP, and it prevents me from upgrading my system.

Someone was looking into editing the save file with a hex editor, but I don't think any results were posted.

And thanks, I took screen shots from the Blythe video on DJMAX Trilogy to make my avatar and signature.

Someone on the GameFAQs boards managed to find a way (that works) to transfer game saves, but it requires hex editing.

Hey that's great news about DJMAX Portable 1 being transferable. I wish they made the other game saves attached to a PSN account instead of the actual PSP system.

I hope the person on gamefaqs posts a "how to guide" on the hex editing. That would so rock. I might take a stab at it, and if I am successful I will be sure to post how I did it here. But I'm a little wary as I thought I read somewhere that it could potentially mess the PSP and the save files.

Being with the psp since the beginning and always watching the homebrew scene, the most harm you could do to your psp is brick it... then again there's the pandora's battery and other ways to bring it back to life....

As for the save files for dj max, if the hex editing would be done on the savefile, then just make a backup for it. On the other hand, if you were changing some flashed files on your psp, then make sure you can bring it back to life if anything goes wrong...

Then again... you're getting a psp 3000 so the most you can do is just hex edit the save data...

DJ Max Fever can be transferred too, it only checks the MAC address of the psp, but you can get around it using a MAC spoofer.
You can probably find one at dark alex's website Frame Navigation or just google. "PSP Mac Spoofer"
