Looks like you're using an Aspire One?
That's what I'm running Trilogy on. The problem is, the default resolution of Trilogy is 1024x768 and netbooks only support 600 vertical pixels or less. To override the resolution it starts in... Download Panda's Trilogy tool here: http://www.bemanistyle.com/djmaxtr/djmaxtrv14.rar
Extract that to your Trilogy folder and make a new text file. Name it "Fix Trilogy.bat"
Edit it to say: "djmaxtr.exe /n 1024 600 1 60 0" minus the quotations. Then save it and run it.
If you want to play online, you'll have to set the language to Korean, which pretty much only affects the text boxes that tell you what you need to do on missions. To set it to korean, change that text file to say "djmaxtr.exe /n 1024 600 1 60 1"
You'll find that it runs flawlessly on the Aspire One, except you can't hit more than 3 buttons at once... so once you get into the higher level songs, you'll need a peripheral such as a controller or a USB keyboard in order to hit multiple notes.

The last site i asked this very question, they thought i had a pirated version of TR, but i said
It was updated to 1.23 witch just released just yesterday. Its impossible to run the game
without the usb profile key.
I'd never think that they would post a sticky about a problem that does not come up very often.
I skimmed over the stickys as well and could not find anything or i just didn't know what to look for...
But, Thanks
P.S. sorry for not reading entirely through all of the stickysts

First, download the program here and extract the program to your home folder. a.k.a. C:\documents and settings\"your user folder"
Now open the command window by opening the start menu, and opening the run window. Here, type "cmd" without the quotes, and press ok.
in the next window type "djmaxtr.exe/g" to open the program. From here on just type your resolution width (1024), height (600), refresh rate (60, which is the default), screen type (1 for widescreen), language (1 for english), and it should be done.

This will assume you downloaded panda's tool and put it into your DJ Max directory already. Also, you're DJ Max directory should be C:\Pentavision\DJMaxTrilogy\. If that's different you'll have to adjust accordingly.
1. Go to Start, then Run
2. In the Run window, type "cmd" and hit enter. (Don't type the quotation marks any time I use them)
3. A command window should open, resembling DOS. Type in "cd \"
4. The window should say C: now. Now type "cd pentavision"
5. Now it should say C:\Pentavision\. Type "cd djmaxtrilogy"
6. Now it says C:\Pentavision\DJMaxtrilogy\. Type in "djmaxtr.exe /n 1024 600 1 60 0"
This changes your resolution to 1024x600 and your game's language to Korean (for network play). Once you're done running this, you can exit the command window and run DJ Max through the normal launcher.

is it up to date ? (1.23)
if not, you should update it

but before trying that, you should know that this trick only works when is crash is caused by a screen resolution of under 1024*768
