Any real bands play Rock Band?

Hi, I'm just curious....
Are there any real bands out there that play Rock Band? I wonder because I've seen some familiar names on the leader boards. Do you think they would have an advantage? If anybody knows or has one, tell us about it! Just looking for some opinions.

Of course there are and no, they wouldn't really have an advantage. Firstly because I don't think they'd have time to be competitively playing rock band and secondly because Slash sucks at Guitar Hero, TaQ sucks at beatmania, etc. etc. just because you play an instrument does not mean you're good at video games.

But it helps.

Being an actual drummer kind of helps with drums, or so my drummer friends tell me.

well seeing as I played Drummania before playing rock band, I can see how drumming before hand can help. See just like a drummer playing rock band, drummania is a entirely different game, but everything I learned there transferred over to rock band also. If that makes any sense to any of you.

My friend at school is a very good drummer in life, and he started playing rock band, and right when he started playing he was already on expert because of the skills he already had. All he had to do is learn how to read the notes really, and it was smooth sailing from there.

For guitar... I can only see maybe on beat strumming, and fast finger movements transitioning from an actual guitar.

Singing, of course helps if you can control your voice.

So, I believe playing the actual instruments help you play rock band better, but not in every way.

i know the guys in goo goo dolls play from time to time; i do not know if they are any good

they are probably stoned while playing though

I mostly play drums while drinking. That's actually how I passed Run to the Hills Expert. Go figure.

That's because when you drink, your body obviously relaxes, and when you relax you not only keep time better but you have better natural reactions to, say, a notechart.

So downing a beer before you play drums is always a good idea.
Unless you're really light.

I never drink beer. It was Vodka. And I weigh around 130 lbs so....
Also, liquor=great for drumming, bad for IIDX. As I found out today.

ffffuuuuuuu- I hate Vodka so much. I only drink Whiskey, Beer and White Russians (White Russian. That's a fine drink.)

Oh yea, they are, I can drink it mixed but some of my friends drink vodka straight.
I can't begin to stand straight vodka.
