Default RB 360 drum set mod to avoid breaking

I heard that the foot petal may break after some use and to use knives or something to support it. any good tutorials on supporting the foot petal?

anything i should do to prolong the life of the actual drums?

thanks!

Look on ebay for a metal plate for the pedals. I'll edit this post if i get time to go look, but basically it's a medal plat in the shape of the foot pedal, and it comes with pop-in screws that fit it on

Then problem with the pedals breaking is that it's a cheap platic with no support in the middle of it. The Knife trick, or the metal plate i've suggested, gives it a solid support so that it doesn't bend in the middle and wear out to break

Edit:

Found the link for the metal reinforcements. It's worth the investment so I suggest checking it ou

You should definalty reinforce it if you think it's going to snap soon. The plate i gave you in the link on ebay will actually reinforce it wiether it's already snapped or not

even if you play on medium, plan on the pedal snapping if you are going to play often. I broke about 6 or 7 now, and then I finally bought a rock Band 2 drumset. My friend reinforced his, and I must say well worth the investment since warranty is no longer existent. I believe he got it from the same guy djDart linked you to.

I've had my drums from RB1 release date and my pedal is still intact. (Expert play) That's not to say I haven't gone through 2 drum sets already though. Once this third one goes I'm going to fork over the cash for a RB2 set. I'll probably reinforce the pedal then just for safe measure.

I thought the RB2 kit had a reinforced pedal out of the box?

It does, of a sorts. It isn't the thickest piece of metal in the world but it's still metal.

Oh, I didn't know. I haven't seen an RB2 kit in action yet.
