Report: MTV Games, WMG enter licensing stalemate - Xbox 360 News at GameSpot

Sorry if this was (slightly) old, but ever since that YouTube issue with WMG audio on this site, things is getting really strict on this high-profile record.

Somehow, Neversoft didn't have issues with the Metallica master tracks in Guitar Hero: Metallica.

Probably because Metallica would have told Warner to go suck a dick if they had caused problems.

EDIT: and GH:M has been in development for a LONG time so they probably got the licenses before this shit went down.

I knew this already.

Anyways, I believe WMG is doing nearly everything to make much cash which is why I've heard reports that people who post GH:M vids (or any RB song that has the WMG license) on YouTube is guaranteed to have their audio removed, and I heard about people trying to get permission from WMG and having no response at all. Is the music group getting really desperate simply because of bad economy?

The rich never have enough money and are never happy. This is why I give no money to these companies. There is PLENTY of music out there for MTV Games to use without catering to Warner. Warner must not realise that they will be hurting their own bottom line in the end as the Rock Band games get their music out there and it generates interest which in turn sells music.What knuckleheads.
