The smoke actually makes the LED system look a lot better because the light beam is visible through it which is fucking cool, and keeps the strobe light from completely blinding you.

I recommend grabbing one. I love the stage kit, and if you play with a friends often it makes Rock Band a way better experience. Fog can get kind of hectic though.

Also know that the stage kit does NOT work on Rock Band The Beatles.
