But the port on the guitar is MADE for that purpose, how the hell is it an "external peripheral"? This sounds like a bunch of poorhouse butt-hurt whiners who either can't convince their parents to put something so dumb on their credit card, or they don't want people breezing by their scores.

Oh so that guy on Youtube who keeps FCing everything on guitar, Danny or whoever, was in my store yesterday. Dude's a total douche. He literally carries a copy of the Guiness Book of World Records around with him in his car to show people who don't believe that he's in it.
