Transferring RB1 tracks to RB2

Okay, so I'm planning on picking up Rock Band 2 after I get my 360 later this month (finally), and I'm just wondering what kind of coverage is offered by the whole tracklist transfer thing.

I've got Rock Band for the PS2, and after I pick up RB2 for the 360, I'd like to send the entire PS2 setup back home so I don't end up with two full Rock Band setups in my apartment. My question is this: Does anyone know if I can still get all of the Rock Band tracks in Rock Band 2 if my Rock Band was on the PS2?

No. Your 360 won't run a PS2 disc, and it's an internal feature on the disk which allows you to export songs.

As well, since the PS2 has no hard drive, the export songs feature would not be present on the PS2 disc, even if the 360 could read it.

And the ability to update came as a title update a year after discs were pressed, so consider the list of reasons that this will not happen to be ever expanding.

Buuuut if you can get a hold of a copy of RB1 for the 360 (which will not be difficult at all) it's just $5 to export.

Precisely. I used my roommates RB1 and just paid the fee to export the songs. It's nice having hyperspeed on some of the stuff from RB1.

Ah, okay. I wasn't sure if it was a proprietary feature between the 360 versions, or just an update code or something.

I'm sure I'll be able to nab a disc from someone. Thanks for the help.

Uh, no..... epic fail. You can only transfer the songs if you have rb1 on the 360 as well....
