Default BEMANI BEST - 10th Anniversary Soundtrack Collection

BEMANI BEST for the 10th anniversary

A big 5-Disc collection of the best of Bemani with 185 songs.

Each disc is designated to each major series, except for the fifth one which comprises
the minor ones.

1- Beatmania (5-Key & IIDX; no III songs, though...)
2- DDR
3- Pop'n Music
4- Guitar Freaks & Drummania
5- Pop'n Stage, Keyboardmania, Mambo a GoGo, Dancemaniax, ee'mall, ParaParaParadise (1 song), and Toy's March (again, 1 song)

It comes out Dec. 14 in Japan for 3000yen, which is pretty cheap for 5 discs.

There aren't any licensed songs (aside from the iffy Jack & Mark Get Busy!), and some selection choices/admissions are questionable (no VOIDDD or DXY!?), but it seems like most of the classics are covered with a nice genre spread all around.

Seems like a good way to help give everyone a taste of what each game has to offer and as a memoir of the changes and scope of what started out as a little arcade experiment.

Oh, and this may well be the first time Nova emocao has ever been on a soundtrack.

I'm looking forward to this album, even though it's just a 5-disc compilation of various songs (although, there are some songs that will debut here on a soundtrack, like Malev said) commemorating the 10th anniversary of Bemani series.

Definitely a nice addition for a Bemani soundtrack collection!

space-merry-go-round was written for Toy's March / in Toy's March? I thought it was from pop'n music 12.

It was the theme song of Toy's March.

And oh, you were right. It was first appeared at Pop'n 12, but why it was categorized under Toy's March? Oh wait, I think I got it. Space-merry-go-round was the ONLY Konami original song in Toy's March 1 (there are a few Konami originals in Toy's March 2 (like Mei and Xepher), but they were Bemani crossovers and only available in e-amusement). That might be the reason.

Wow, I'm liking the looks of this CD. Hopefully I'll have the money for it around that time.

And yeah, news like this is definitely headline-worthy.

It would be so much better with long versions/remixes. At last one for each disc or something...

It's amazing the amount of typos that site has..

BRMANI...
The least 10th0 seconds.

Anyway, seems like an excellent collection.

I can imagine myself listening to this when I'm, like, 50 and remembering the good 'ol BEMANI days. :P

Heh, I'll still be participating in Bemani stuff when I'm 50.

This soundtrack looks amazing. They did a GREAT job picking out the best songs. Looking forward to this release.

I just find it weird that there are no stuff from GFDM V4 when another game with no OST yet has a track in there. (SuperNOVA 2)

Both of those came AFTER the 10th Anniversary date. They're aren't known songs yet, since people mostly know older songs that are more recognizable.

The Beatmania 5 keys portion of disc one looks AMAZING to say the least. The Beatmania IIDX songs could have been better, the songlist for that looks lackluster. DDR's songlist is what is expected, though I'm bored and burnt out from any DDR song pre-Extreme. Popn and GF/DM's songlists looks good too, and Disc 5? I dunno.... neutral towards it at the moment.

There was a recent update to this collection, adding Butterfly to the DDR list and Sunshine Dance for DANCE86.4 (the D86.4 Theme Song version).

Could it be possible there might be a few more additions to be made in the coming month?
