I used to hate most of Remo-con songs, now I like them. As for the inverse, Naoki rave songs (I used to love them, but I just don't like them now).

I used to hate The Earth Light because I couldn't pass the 7k chart, but once I passed it I was realized that it was a good song.

Something similiar happened like that with D.C. Fish and me. I used to think it was so-so, but when I started being able to enjoy the [a] chart, I realized how good of a game it is.

Daisuke. Generally, I don't like Y&Co.'s stuff but I realize that this song is just OK, except for the vocals.

Used to hate but now don't:

GENOCIDE. HATED this song when I first played it on RED CS. Hated it. The sound quality, the chart, Maya's generic anime overlays, everything. Then I heard the OST version of the song and haven't budged it from my playlist since.

"old O". Thought it was random noise and distorted vocals until I listened to the whole thing. One of my favorites from ee'MALL.

Aoi Shoudou. Couldn't stand the vocalist when I first heard this in DDR Extreme. That and the lousy DDR edit didn't help. Then I heard the OST version and found myself getting attached to it. I tend to think of this song as something along the lines of L'amour et la liberte. Only good.

dj nagureo as a whole, thanks to the mediocre songs Konami chose to put in the DDR Club games back in 1999. Now I like most anything not eurobeat from him (except Hold on Me, because Yurika Nagasawa is a great singer and I really wish she'd come back to work on more songs). If I have to point out one particular song, it would be Deep in you, which I thought was utter garbage when I first heard it, but now like it quite a bit.

TaQ. When I first got into DDR, people kept DXY! and Holic over and over and over again in the arcades and I got tired of TaQ completely. When I started playing DDR at home and began listening to his other IIDX, my opinion changed completely.

SLAKE. Fairly obvious. I actually liked Gambol, but found myself taking 2 years to like 22Dunk and another year or so tolerating I'm for Real. His beatmania stuff is hit or miss, though (most) of his IIDX work is solid.

waxing and wanding. Lousy GST quality made the song sound like garbage. Listened to the OST version sound afterwards and chanced my mind completely.

Contract....until I heard the long version on the cardinal gate album thingy. The original DistorteD is still mediocre, though.


Used to like but not don't:

I used to really be into NAOKI when I first started DDR, but now I barely like any of his material, DDR and otherwise. I can still listen to AM3P (the original version, not the lame MAX 2 Challenge remix), Brilliant2U, B4U, bag, and a few others, but otherwise I'm not as big into him as I used to be.

Drop on the Floor. Good God, why did I ever like this song? The vocals absolutely BUTCHER this otherwise neat house song.

Absolute: see above, except replace vocals with synth bag pipes.

BeForU as a whole. Thank goodness I've moved on.

Motoaki Furukawa. I thought he was pretty cool until he wrote basically the same song every Guitar Freaks game. Beautiful Life was his last decent work in GF to date IMO.

jun. I'm tired of her happy hardcore songs. I'm tired of her singing. I'm tired of her boring, uninspired ＴЁЯＲＡ stuff. Move on already, woman.

If Ryu* keeps continuing the trend of annoying, bland songs in IIDX along the lines of Dazzlin' Darling, Blue Rain, and Do it!! Do it!!, I'll have to put him in here as well. His pre-TROOPERS stuff was so good, too..

I agree with this to a point.

Ryu* definitely needs to go back to his old Happy Hardcore stuff. He will never move down from my spot of "Favorite Bemani Artist" just because of how great his HH stuff is, but I really hope he doesn't become the next Tatsh...starts with great kick-ass music, you anticipate more, then he turns to making stupid J-Pop/boring songs.

Though I do like the long version of Blue Rain and Dazzlin' Darlin' is pretty good for what it is. I hate Do It Do It though, don't know why, I just do.

Even though that has to be the most bullshit genre ever (what the fuck is artcore?! hardcore art music?!) I find myself loving everything that comes out of that genre. And another, slightly more enjoyable sequel to Narcissus At Oasis would be appreciated. :D

I'm not saying the chart isn't fun, it just gets kind of old after a while.

Also, I used to hate all the Scripted Connections because the song just bored me. Even though I can't remember how it goes still, I've grow to love all of them.
