BeForU, namely. Ah, good times. They were the reason why I became a DDR fan. Your memory will not be in vain.
nc. Seduction ~Vocal easily won me over.
Toshio Sakurai
Ai Suzuki. I just love Seiron, sotto., and Souhaku.
Hirofumi Sasaki. He's easily the most appropriate man for the Keyboardmania sound producer, should KBM be revived. Please, Konami, make this happen, so that Timepiece phase III will be the Premium Encore, should you revive KBM!
TaQ. Sure, he's primarily a IIDX-exclusive, but I love Schlagwerk. "This is fucked up!

RIP:

Captain Jack. *Salutes the late Francisco Gutierrez*
Handsome Jet. Even though Shikarare Hiyori is my gateway to Handsome Jet, I do enjoy his other works.

I would agree about nc as the artist I miss since nc doesn't have a new song for X. It's just a transplant from SN2 CS.

(I'm pretty sure he hasn't left Bemani)

Emphasis to Tatsh. The J-pop and trance music that he makes are killer.

Also, don't know if I posted in this specific thread, but the people I miss the most (in decreasing order of missing) are Hirofumi Sasaki, ASLETICS, Toshio Sakurai, and TaQ. RAM and PINK PONG finally came back to IIDX.
Btw, PINK PONG is still in BEMANI. Some of his latest songs were Madrugada (which is a house song that is just addicting) and his new DREAM TRANCE song in IIDX EMPRESS which sounds awesome (yet possess a creepy BG video )

To answer the question about Seduction's vocalist...

Quoting the NRG Factory blog...

Quote:
It seems the vocalist from Seduction (Vocal Mix) has passed away from lung cancer.

I am told that she was just 35 years old.

Rest in peace.
I miss Tatsh and BeForU. I could give a shit about the new BeForU, but I liked the old vocalists. Mainly I miss all the BeForU songs that were cut on DDR/IIDX/Pop'n/GFDM.

And nc just did a song for SN2 CS, so I think it's a little late to say they are gone. It is strange that we didn't get a song from nc in X, but then again, we didn't get a new Sota song in this year's DDR games either.

For me, I think I liked the old BeForU more than the new one. (The 6-membered BeForU, although the very first BeForU was okay too.) Still wondering whatever happened to the former members as of now. (especially those who pursued a solo career)

About nc, are they commisioned or really part of BEMANI? Also, I think Sota's involvement with Beatnation Records might be one reason why most Sota songs we are seeing are in IIDX and Pop'n but not in DDR.

nc are commissioned artists, since they also made music for other game companies. But I believe the one who's really involved in the DDR series was Hiroyoshi Kato (as specified in the link I posted).

You have a point there, but I think it's just all coincidence, since AFAIK he was already a Beatnation Records member by the time he made Electrified for SN2.

The only Bemani artist who's new songs show up mainly in DDR rather than IIDX/PNM/GFDM is Naoki.

Fun fact, Taka didn't write a single song for DDR until Freeway Shuffle.

Someone should tell Tatsh to go back to making songs that have synths in them, seriously.
