& is it just me, or does Fairy Tales's GST sound different than the OST? I know Model FT2's OST doesn't have much focus on the guitar than it does on the GST.

pop'n music:
- Bunmei Kaika (Chin-Don-Jazz)'s OST version is played half a tone higher than the GST.
IIDX:
- Junglist King: after listening to this song on the OST, the in-game version feels like it's unfinished...
- Schlagwerk: where has the "This is f****d up!" gone?
- R5: the piano roll is muffled on the OST
- MUSIC TO YOUR HEAD: the lead synth pattern after the "Got music to your head" sample is muffled on the OST, but plays clearly in the GST.
- BRIGHTNESS DARKNESS: the synth violins in the intro are also muffled on the OST version, but are clearly heard on the GST.
- Boundary: the obscure vocal samples in the beginning are not played in-game.
- the shadow: I do agree with Snapps: the shadow OST version contains more powerful and noisy drum kicks and SFX.
- Believe: Paula Terry says it in the beginning of the OST version, but in the end of the GST.
- CAR OF YOUR DREAMS: the intro in the OST (just before the first "Shining Car...") has been removed in-game... **sighs**
- Just A Little Smile: towards the end of the song, the OST version misses a synth phrase. It is played only one on GOLD OST, but twice in-game.
Finally, Guitar Hero III:
- is it just me or...? I feel that TTFAF's final hammer-on in G lasts 2 measures longer in the original version than in-game.
I would post more but I'm not feeling like doing it... just posting what has been the most obvious differences to me.

Anyway, a number of Sota's IIDX songs end up sounding different in the OST. Back Into The Light and The Hope of Tomorrow, which are a bit longer, as well as with you..., like what Jhopzzz said, has a guitar intro.

Anyone wonder why?
Plus, the "This is f****d up!" sample can be easily heard on the terror mix/another version of Schlagwerk and the bounce connected version (although I don't know if full versions are counted in this thread, if not, I'm really sorry.)

Roulette repeats a part on the OST near the 60% mark.
Kick Out Kamen has an additional verse of lyrics on the DJ TROOPERS OST, as does Goodbye Chocolate Kiss on the Pop'n 9 OST.
Tonight? sounds too muffled to me on the DistorteD OST. It's one of the very few IIDX songs I prefer the GST of.
The OST version of Funky Sonic World sounds too quiet IMO. I prefer the loud drummania GST of it.

True-Love's Bass Drum is Louder in the OST version, I was really suprised the first time I heard it, because I was used to the GST version xP! Anyway, I like it xD!
pop'n music/GFDM:
- Tamayura's Piano sounds Louder than the GFDM version/OST version (I want that in the pop'n 16 OST!!!)
- MILK ends a little earlier than the GST (It fades out, but you can hear like 2 or 3 seconds more xP)

Marketplace Rating: 0 | One question that is related to this thread:
What difficulties in DM are usually used for the OST versions of the tracks? (specifically songs that are 70 and above in terms of difficulty)
It's because daydream ost ver. = advanced notechart and also over there ost ver. = basic notechart. But think onihime
uses the extreme notechart in its ost version.. I'm just asking this question to clarify some things regarding the drum parts in some hard songs.
The guitars still sound the same, only the drums differ.
If there is something wrong with my post, I'm sorry in advance and please correct me if I did.

If there is something wrong with my post, I'm sorry in advance and please correct me if I did. | It's not really on the difficulty, it's on how the song was recorded.
