ITT we compare OST versions of songs to their GSTs and vice versa

Just as an FYI, Beatmania, Pop'n Music, Guitar Freaks, and Drummania all boost the volume of keysounds ingame. So every song will sound a little different compared to the OST version.

Concertino In Blue & Mirage Resistance sound like crap on IIDX comparted to the OST (or GF/DM for that matter). I'm not kidding. I was very disappointed after listening to CiB on IIDX DistorteD after playing it on GF/DM Masterpiece Gold for so long & I'm not really looking forward to Mirage Resistance on DJ Troopers....

I'm not sure if I can relate my experience in this thread but......

I do know that some versions/iterations of the same song sound worse than the same song in another version/iteration.

Like Himawari:

The original one (the one from PF 9th) has vocals that sound flawless.

Yet when they ported it to BM IIDX HS, the vocals sounded shittier for some reason. (it's like Kosaka Riyu had a throat problem or something).

To a lesser degree though, Tizona El Cid is better on GFDM than on IIDX (the omission of the snare drum and bass drum didn't make it sound as good as that with the drums included).

Heck, I think everyone can also relate to how Maria (I believe) is nice on the BM IIDX arcade.........but sounds like total shit on 9th style PS2 version.

Common sense tells me that they've redone the song.............but why even bother doing such?

Oh and there's a slight difference in Blue rain (between the radio edit and the one on DJT). Either way, it doesn't affect the quality of the song at all with or without the slight modification (pretty much like the difference between the two versions of Captivate Sabaki; very minute)

Other than that, well...........I don't buy or listen to any BEMANI soundtracks in general..........so I don't know about the rest.

STAY WITH ME (BIGBEAT MIX) has a different ending on beatmania, it just has a fade-out on the OST.

Mirage Residence, not Resistance.

Go Beyond!!'s OST version's last few bell sounds have a bit of a fade-out.

I also thought that it was "regidence"

I remember seeing it in one of those player vids of someone playing on DJT.

The machine LED message thingy mentioned "Regidence".

At that time, I couldn't determine if my eyes were lying or if the video quality wasn't clear enough or if it was one of those "engrish" errors.

In the end, I too wasn't even sure of it myself

I went to TGA the other day and I distinctly remember it said "MIRAGE REGIDENCE" during the Battalion course

I actually saw it in some youtube vid of a Taiwanese guy playing Military splash when DJT first came out (late last year).

I really didn't know if my eyes were fucked up that time or if the video quality was just shitty.

I guess that now explains it
