Default Percussion Master

So, I decided so go play some pump today at the MOA, and I stumbled across this game. Percussion Master.

Imo, it's a really fun game. Pretty much just Drummania for simpletons.
(sorry if there's already a thread 'bout this game)

Ever played it? Discuss.

yes we hav one of those at Timezone.

IMO its crap.

u can 'AAA' any song with great ease and little perfect attack skill. the perfect window is the biggest ive ever seen on any music game. it almost seems as if its not possible to get goods or boos (or whatever the equivalent was).

song selections is horrible.

and the drums break waaay too easily.

i hate Timezone for getting this POS. they always end up getting the cheap bemani knockoffs such as this, beatplayer, let's dance etc etc etc....

There's a few of them around my town. Pretty fun, imo. The songs aren't very good quality, but I enjoy most of the songlist (usually the licenses) and I have a good time on PM. Expert mode is pretty challenging too.
People who complain about wide timing windows should stick to counting their DDR AAAs. Not all games are about score.
The drums do tend to break easily, but that's because people are idiots and think that smashing the drums as hard as you can makes you funny/better at the game.

I was in Eau Claire last week, and there was a machine there. The one really bad thing about it was when I was trying to play ITG, the PM machine's music (bass, mostly) would cancel out ITG's sound. Obviously making it hard to play.

The arcade near me had this about 2 years ago. It was a nice concept of the picture to be taken, but the game structure was horrible. The characters we're cheesy as well ;D

Oh, even Timezone in another country got Percussion Master. I thought it was only in TZ Philippines.

Anyway, PM was made by the same company who made that Rock Fever crap. I think they're known for "pirating" games (heck, they even have "pirated" Initial D; after all, they're Taiwanese, and those people are good at imitating, right?).

PM is a lame Taiko no Tatsujin ripoff. (Lol no pun intended! )

I've seen this on John's Incredible Pizza before! (But playing this is more expensive than DDR.. :P)

Never played it, but I feel easy feel just by seeing this! If this didn't break like someone said here, then hopefully one day i'll try a round!

We got two of em at the local amusement park. The game was fun for about the first 2 credits, after that you could almost "AAA" the hardest songs and there was no challenge in playing the game anymore. The camera was kinda cool though, but they disabled that function here after a few months...

When I went to Taiwan I couldn't find any GFDM, all they had was this. Annoyed the hell out of me.

We have this on post in the bowling alley here in Mannheim. It's not very appealing, but knowing that Dr. Jones made it into a rhythm game was enough for me.

We have one at Jungle Fun in Ala Moana Center. Ours has been there for a few months and hasn't broken yet, and kids play it all the time. We even have a kiddie version of the game, not sure if it's the same company. It's decently hard, but judging by what I've seen so far, it looks pretty easy to learn.

Part DM, part Taiko, all crap; the gameplay makes me yawn. Guess I'm just too elite for it...
