PS2 Bemani game JP CS problem

I'm not sure if I put this in the right category, since my problem applies to CS versions of IIDX and GFDM games, or that this should focus more on the technical part.

Anyway, I have a modded SCPH-50001 PS2 (it's not the flat one), and a few songs in my GFDM CS games and 9/10 of the songs in my DistorteD CS wouldn't work. I tried the games on other PS2s, and they work fine.

Is there a way to fix this, so the other songs would work? Is it my modchip that is faulty, or is it the unit itself? Thanks.

It sounds like the PS2. But not sure if it's the PS2, or the chip, so I'll leave that to another user to clear that up.But other users and myself always recommend Swap Magic. If it's your PS2, wait until the new PS2 "Compact" comes out VERY soon, it'll be $100.00 NEW.

Is there an alternative to Swap Magic?

HD Loader, or slide cards. Look them up!

Slide codes need Swap Magic as well, I'm pretty sure

So the problem does not lie on the lens of the PS2? Ouch!
