Default Things you didn't know about Bemani

I'm sure there are a few secrets regarding the origins and intended use for songs that a few of you know. Like did anyone know that AM-3P is a Naoki tune, and was originally intended to be a beatmania song? If you know some interesting facts about other Bemani songs, post what you know here

Naoki has umpteen million aliases. Stupid Naoki.

Umm.... hmm. I don't know any super-omg-cool-uberduber secrets. Iconoclasm is wac and DJ Taka! Ohh that's top secret, don't tell...!

End of the Century was about Y2K and how people thought it would bring the end of the world.

PARANOiA was the first Konami Original.

SO DEEP was supposed to be a 10.

Healing-D-Vision was a 9 in Beta.

MAKE IT BETTER = MONEY.

There are 3 songs that were on DDR 1st Mix Beta that didn't make it into the final game. They are "MONEY" by Ragga Twins, "JUMP" by BUS*STOP and "BOYS" by SMiLE.dk. BOYS, of course, did eventually make it into 2nd Mix.

Butterfly, Xepher, AFRONOVA and Cartoon Heroes are played WAY too much.

LET THEM MOVE is not a bad song, it just has a horrible sample of a chorus.

The absolute worst DDR song ever is "celebrate" by JJ Company.

Takayuki Ishikawa can also play guitar, drums, and be thrashy-bashy. In fact, his first song that he made for GFdm was going up.

Out of all the founding artists of DDR, smile .dk is the only one that returned for SN.

Die Zauberflote and Agnus Dei are NOT based on their respective namesake's original renditions.

Classic Party series came before Day Dream/Model DD series.

Hotaru is *easier* than Akai Suzu, contrary to Hotaru fanboys' claim that Hotaru is "better" than Akai Suzu. On the other hand, Akai Suzu is widely considered as Asaki's best song.

Riyu Kosaka and Risa Sotohana can speak Japanese extremely quickly.

Riyu Kosaka is not a very good ballad singer.

Sota Fujimori is fluent in English.

Asaki makes strange, while at the same time, great music

I have respect for Tatsh from the wide array of musical pieces that he's made.

(I say this because I'm confident in my heterosexuality) SLAKE is a sexy beast.

Actually, I think SLAKE is good looking enough that homophobes would admit that as well:

Plus, teranoid's a looker too:

(this seems like the opposite of the "music game misconception" thread. make sure you guys don't confuse the two :P)

1. LIA was battling a cold while recording HORIZON.
2. AKIRA YAMAOKA has absolutely no love for the song 250bpm, and only made it because he was forced to do so.
3. While recording the album version of INJECTION OF LOVE, Sana once complained that Akira Yamaoka was constantly insisting that she didn't sound "sexy" enough.
4. TAKA apparently possesses the capacity to inspire people when they're drunk. Also, GRADUISIC CYBER is the song that got TAKA his job with Konami.
5. The guitar section from the song summer vacation is sampled from a song by one of TaQ's friends. The song in question is titled Hello Jonathan.
6. Noria (of BeForU fame) is a big fan of the One Piece anime.

I'll post more later.

SDMS (of un deux trois fame) is fairly decent. TAKA is apparently REALLY good. TaQ, eh, not so much.

She's widely credited on why Shining Ray (GF9/dm8), Hikari E (GF10/dm9), and Sailing Day (GF11/dm10) appeared on GuitarFreaks & drummania.

It's funny to imagine how TaQ would feel coming across his own Innocent Walls on another.

According to wac, Akira Yamaoka got really angry for some reason during the location testing of Ryuusei Honey. People even got scared.

Well, I believe he already commented on that. If I remember correctly, his reaction to playing some of his songs was something along the lines of "Who makes all these hard songs?!? Oh...wait...that'd be me... ")

Also, does anyone else have more info on the Yamaoka incident. I'm curious.

I got it from RemyWiki, and I think I said all that's been revealed. I'm also really interested at what happened as well. I wonder if it had anything to do with Sana's earlier complaint during the Injection of Love thing, haha.

I think Akira Yamaoka's outburst might have preceeded that incident, actually.
