In short, MAKE A JAM! pays homage to Konami itself as a whole.

One of Naughty Dog's favorite games during the Playstation era is beatmania.

If anybody still remembers 5-key beatmania:

LUV TO ME third mix has Japanese lyrics while LUV TO ME disco mix has English lyrics.

I'm also frightened by the Konami references in Make a Jam D:
I found it funny the Konami logo thing. In the BG, both "pieces" are simply swapped.

* Talking about hidden announcer voices in DDR, there's one (with the post-MAX voice) that I haven't heard anywhere: "Compatible with system network". System... WHAT???????

* I think that I mentioned this somewhere else, but... seems that Konami considered keeping Long Versions after 5th Mix:
- in DDRMAX, there's a "Long Version" song information image (like in 5th Mix) and a "Long" musicwheel icon in the graphics:

- in DDRMAX2, there's also a "Long" musicwheel icon. A "balloon" cannot be found:

However, for some reason in the end it was never implemented.

I think I've heard that Konami just keeps old information in their games, because it's easier to leave in and not use it than to take it out.

I think...

Yup (just like what someone said earlier regarding that 'voice sample' for Level 13 on Distorted Arcade; didn't get used though..........but for future versions, the possibility remains open)

There was actually a really cool topic that got locked about old things kept in DDR games. Songs that weren't used, and I think some banners and voice clips and stuff.

In terms of DDR banners, I think only Rin Toshite Saku Hana No Gotoku and Fire use their GFDM banners while other GFDM crossovers don't. (Although the Venus banner is somewhat a modified version of the original in terms of the font used.)

Here's something from Pop'n:

When you play Graduation (in 9 button), after the last note of the song, press the red button and it will say "wasurenaide" like the credits music in DDR extreme (the credits when you pass the OMES).

Some notes about IIDX 1st Style videos

• 1st Style did in fact have generic videos that were removed sometime before 3rd CS. They consisted of various 5key animations mashed up into a video. There are 5 of these generic videos.
• On the 1st Style video CD, there was one video that I couldn't figure out what the hell song it went to. After trying out various songs, it seems like it's actually a video for e-motion that got removed sometime before 3rd CS. (that's pretty much the only song short enough for the video, plus the scene changes match up pretty well. It's also way too short to be a generic video, plus it would be the only generic video that's not taken from 5key animations) The video features footage of someone playing BM 2nd Mix in what appears to be a tournament with some footage from other videos playing over it.
• Some videos have had a couple edits made to them later on, mostly just the addition of the song name, which wasn't there in the 1st Style video (like 5.1.1. and R3)
