This is COMPLETE hearsay but I believe it could possibly be true.

零 -ZERO- was intended to be a sequel to DoLL titled DoLL -II- or something, but Goli convinced NAOKI to change the title, because he had thought the fans would expect a complete video, and he could only come up with some overlay art.

To me, the reason why the name was changed seems a little odd, but there is a similarity in the sound, and both videos do feature the Gundam-esque robots.
