Marketplace Rating: 0 | Widespread playing... By widespread I mean playing all types of current popular rhythm games like IIDX, Pop'n, Taiko, DDR, GFDM, ITG, and Guitar Hero. What I'm asking is that is it best to be good at a widespread amount of rhythm games or to just practice one to become a pro at it? Right now I am just touching 8s-9s in IIDX, about the mid 30s in Pop'n, a couple 10s in DDR and Taiko, around 40s in GF (i dont play it much), and 3-4starring all Hard songs on GH, which for all of these games are upper-average. Just wondering if I should focus on one game instead of all games to further improve my skill on that game.

I, for instance, love DDR, ITG, IIDX, and Pop'n... with a little bit of GH and DM (no GF available anyplace near where I live D: ), but what I play and how I improve is limited by what is available to me. So, I'm mostly improving on DDR and ITG, while occasionally switching to IIDX, and not really playing anything else since I really don't have them available to me while I'm up at college.
I'm guessing that, in your case, everything's equally available and you're equally interested in all of the games... so I say, go you! IMO, you should just go with whatever you feel like playing at the moment, without strictly limiting yourself to just improving in one game. After all, it's about fun, isn't it? ;P

In my experience, I've played with different rhythm games and I feel that switching from one game to another game occasionally has helped me improve overall in most of the rhythm games I play.
For the record, I play IIDX, DDR, ITG, and Pop'n.

Moreover, I usually play DDR & GFdm the most than any other games, given that those two are the ones I have constant access to in my arcades.
