I just thought about another thing regarding ric/riewo being ocean or not. In the credits, it shows that Heavenly Sun was written by ocean but sung by riewo. If they indeed are the same person, wouldn't it be easier if they just said it was written by riewo? It has this sketchy RevenG vs. DE-SIRE or kors k vs. stripE feel to it.

Agreed. It hasn't confirmed yet, though. Only Akira Yamaoka himself could answer this.

But, for the record, many people still believe that these "ocean", "ric", and "riewo" are different persons, including rmz and kannazuki .

To clarify, I still think they're different people too, but I'm just not putting your idea out of the question.

I have very strong evidence that riewo and ocean are two different people. It's because there was a point I was obsessed with iFUTURELIST and I ended up browsing through the wealth that was the Konamistyle website and ended up upon this...

AKIRA YAMAOKA¥¢¥ë¥Ð¥àÀ©ºî¥×¥í¥¸¥§¥¯¥È- ¥³¥Ê¥ß¥¹¥¿¥¤¥ë

If you scroll down to the very bottom, you get this question

Q1. Regarding the Vocalist of Songs
riewo singing (RISLIM, EMPTY OF THE SKY and the like) - 37%
AKIRA YAMAOKA personally singing - 15%
ocean singing (bitmania, SPACE FLIGHT and the like) - 12%
DE VOL Keyboard playing the strange singing person's part - 12% (don't ask, this is what the translation I came up with said.)
A female that is not riewo or ocean singing - 12%
Nobody singing - 8%
A male not Akira Yamaoka singing - 4%

I have consistently seen them being credited as two different people. I think this is referring to Yamaoka's career in general and his use of vocalists.

not to mention in the liner notes for iFUTURELIST...

All Tracks Written,Produced,Instruments
& Mixed by AKIRA YAMAOKA

Additional Vocalists: GENET,Yasuaki Honda,Sana,ocean,riewo,Paco,Chigunita

Again, they're being credited as two different people.

Well, I got this album a few months ago and I am really impressed by it's mastering. Yeah, his style isn't for everyone, and I prefer these 'album' tracks over anything originally from iidx/ddr and silent hill.

Now, my question is, will Akira ever put out a strictly english language album? I mean, he's very fluent in both Japanese and English, and would make sense that he would.

Riewo is not Ocean. It's officially stated. Get over it, conspiracy theorists

What Kannazuki posted is exactly right. On the iFuturelist site itself, it lists them as two separate people, and I've known this ever since it first went up last year, hence why I acted like I knew what I was talking about :P

Okay, now that that's cleared up, I'm kind of curious as to what songs those percentages may be referring to. First, that 4% on the bottom implies that this involves at least 25 songs. I'm guessing that male singer refers to システムロマンス (but ric/riewo sings that as well, which is odd since the percentages add up to 100%, so there are no overlaps). Also, the 15% of songs that Akira himself sings would include at least 4 songs, but I only know of Lion Suki, iFUTURELIST, and DANCER, but that last one maybe counts as DE VOL instead. I also find it odd that he could have easily just said "Sana" instead of "female singer other than riewo or ocean" unless there is yet another vocalist used.

EDIT: I just realized the list of vocalists: GENET, Yasuaki Honda, Sana, ocean, riewo, Paco, Chigunita. What songs did these other guys sing? Maybe all in DANCER or something (?).

Those are the voting results. For the iFuturelist album, there was a user poll done to ask people what kind of song they wanted made. The winning votes were:

* Genre: Trance
* Vocals: Ethereal vocals
* Vocalist: riewo

And the result was "Heavenly Sun."

Yeah I agree on that. The album version of Empty of the Sky, Lion Suki and bit mania is very different from its IIDX Version

Now, who would expect that his remix on dj Taka's Moon is one of his best achievements? I mean, we did not expect to him to downpitch Erika's voice. and the beat is very good turning it into an 1980's disco song.

My bad, sorry for double posting.

For those who own the iFUTURELIST album,

Can you rate the songs included in this album and give your opinions, comments, just like what everyone did on the review of DJ Taka's album. I just want to see your thoughts of this album.

I'll wait for your replies.

1. The policy of the iFUTURELIST Party
It's a vocal introduction track in German, I won't bother with it

2. LOVE ME DO
10/10 Completely different from the IIDX version

3. iFUTURELIST
8/10 It's a longer version of the IIDX/DDR version but there aren't really any new musical parts, if you get what I'm saying

4. tant pis pour toi
5/10 It's alright but overall it's boring and annoying

5. INJECTION OF LOVE
10/10 Another great song, basically the same as the IIDX version with a different intro, longer of course, and a cool instrumental section in the middle

6. EMPTY OF THE SKY
7/10 Nothing special but it's not a bad song either

7. Maria
6/10 It's a good song but it's a ballad and feels really out-of-place

8. Adjust Rain
7/10 Again, not a bad song but it doesn't really stand out either

9. RISLIM
10/10 Again it's different from the IIDX version but it's really cool and he does a bunch of stuff that you wouldn't expect

10. [translates to Mad Season or something]
9/10 It's really good but it's just not that memorable, and it's pretty long compared to the rest of the songs surrounding it

11. [translates to Lion Friend or something]
6/10 Okay but pretty boring instrumental transition into...

12. Lion Suki
8/10 Completely different from the IIDX version, a bunch of people hate it but I personally think it's better

13. bitmania
8/10 Different from the IIDX version, it's definitely an improvement, with a nice little transition into...

14. April Fool no Uta [April Fool's Song]
10/10 Completely different from the PNM version, it's a great song, good way to end the main part of the album, but after the song there's a weird (bad) ending/transition into the bonus tracks, starting with...

15. Heavenly Sun (Collaborated with fans)
9/10 Same as the IIDX version but longer, another great song but it drags on a bit too much

16. Shouwa Kigyou Senshi Arayama Kachou [did I get that right?] LOLITA ON BREAKS MIX (Remixed by t-kimura)
10/10 Again a little long, but it's such an awesome remix that's definitely an improvement on the original

17. SYSTEM LOVE 7.5.5
6/10 Pretty boring, not a very good way to end the album, and completely out-of-place with the whole rest of the album
