Anyways, why Hiroshi Watanabe doesn't make songs for Bemani anymore, esp. IIDX?

I don't quite hate Rage against usual, but I don't find it very interesting. I just plain don't like most IIDX rock music. It doesn't fit the series at all.

no, Logical Dash is like if Small Waves and route80s had a really gross offspring. quickening is more melodic and less noisy, although that revival you speak of could have been exchanged for GUILTY to make a dj SETUP course on RED. I think it'd be cool. that's besides the point though, quickening is one of taka's better songs, he hasn't done much else like it either. "doesn't fit with the series" is pure opinion, IIDX's rock/metal charts can be very fun. akira yamaoka, good-cool (namely, SCHOOL), dj REMO-CON, Asaki, Des Row and Mitsuhiko Izumi would like a word with you. the latter two formed 414, if you must know. Asaki needs to make more music for IIDX, on that note, or they should port more of his songs. Agnus Dei isn't even one of his stronger points.
snow storm isn't exactly mind-blowing but it's above average and more than generic, that's for sure. taka does make a lot of trance that it runs together, however. there's about a song per style: reincarnation, absolute, abyss, frozen ray, colors, tomorrow perfume, e-motion 2003, pandora, AA, inazuma, inori, snow storm. pandora is better than frozen ray btw, for the same reason inori is better than broadbanded

Difference: Colors is garbage and Symphony No. 5 is a masterpiece. Beethoven passed the test of time with flying colors because he was a musical genius, and Color is just a mediocre piece of garbage. It's the sound of trance farting with vocals.

I still think his best tracks have been more recent (earth scape).

Earth Scrape is that bastard accident child of Blueberry Stream and Tangerine Stream. Also, I greatly prefer Taka's older songs like Hip Hop Paradise, for a lesser known example.

Who knows? Likely he just moved on like a number of other IIDX artists.

I never really played his songs much on 5-key. Out of the ones I did, I liked his music under the Quadra alias the most.

yeah and him and TaQ's CU MIX was a good song too but that's not the actual title. earth scape is vastly superior to both stream songs. then again it's on IIDX RED so I guess it must be bad! good to know that Colors is apparently the sound of flatulence, and it is overplayed, and therefore it is bad. hooray for eloquence and descriptiveness!

I await your kissing the ass of DistorteD when it comes out, and then everyone will ever forget about RED because DistorteD will be automatically crowned the best CS game ever because it's the newest. That's how YOUR logic works, anyway.

rmz, I wish you and the other moderators (ESPECIALLY Eggman) would stop telling people what is right and what is right to like Bemani music-wise. It wasn't cool on VJ Army when you said anything before 4th style sucked and was the same two notes being pressed over and over again, and it sure ain't cool here. I'll admit that I'm to blame in this thread, but I know this isn't the first you've shoved your own opinions into discussion. I'm personally done here, and if you want to rave about JAM or AA or whatever, be my guest.

BTW, West, I'd hate Colors even if it was the most obscure IIDX song ever. It's a boring, bland, bad song and I honestly wish I never heard of it in DDR Extreme or when we got IIDX 7th style for Christmas 2005.

Click Again is a pretty mediocre song IMO but RED has much worse. good outweighs bad, however.
HS > RED = 10th = 9th > other styles
10th and 9th would be better than RED except it has Sudden+ which makes it THAT much better. DDCS, so far, has a songlist which is already overshadowed by 9th-HS and the revivals aren't gonna save it either. I only care about the songs featured on 8th CS, playing them with Sudden+ will be NICE. granted, there's still so much we don't know about DDCS, but it'll take a lot for it to be better than HS (which is going to be the best consumer style for a while, because DD and GOLD sure don't have better music.) so yes, I'll buy DDCS as soon as it comes out but it probably won't be the best style yet.

It's called an opinion, and I've never once stated that my views are "truth" any more than you have. You've stated your opinions and laughed at mine, and I've stated my opinions and laughed at yours. I'm not "telling you what's right" any more than you're doing the same to me. I really don't see what I'm doing wrong here since you're doing the exact same thing that I am. Am I not allowed to state my disagreements because I'm a moderator? Does that mean that I'm supposed to hide my feelings and opinions? I sure hope not.

Can you provide a link to the post you're talking about on VJA, by the way, where I say that "anything before 4th style sucked and was the same two notes being pressed over and over again?" I don't recall saying anything like that because I love 3rd style.

I also hate AA with a passion, for the record.

This seems to be an unfortunate case of misinterpretation.

I did not say that most songs from 3rd style were shit -- I said that I disliked the songs that are, and I was only referring to a very select few. e-motion uses the same two samples throughout most of the entire song, which is why I mentioned that. Diving Money is the same way, the keysounds are relatively uninspired and it's pretty boring to play in my opinion. I love tons of stuff on 3rd style and prior, I just hate songs that use the same two keysounds or samples for most of the song.

So, you're deeply pissed at me for something that you accidentally misinterpreted from what I said two years ago. Sorry if I offended you, but I promise that I don't hate 3rd style. I love it, in fact.
