DAKISHIMETEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. (I swear, she holds that 'e' for a good 5 seconds.)

Anyways, Kanako Hoshino. She seems to be the darling of IIDX now, having worked with a fair amount of composers already (Naoki, Tatsh, Yoshitaka, TOMOSUKE and uh... who is SILVER FOX PRODUCTIONS?)

What's everybody's favourite songs? Or who would you like to see Hosshii (her nickname) work more with? Not to mention, did anybody know that her real name is Watanabe Kanako?)

Personally, I would like to see her work with Caldeira again. INFERNO is one of my favourite songs by her and 太陽～T・A・I・Y・O～ comes in a close second. And I love SPARK! -essential RMX-, since the original SPARK! kinda bored me if it weren't for the MAIAGAREEEEEEEEEEEE. :/ I think one of Kanako Hoshino's defining points is how she can just hold vowels like that, hahaha.

And D.A.N.C.E.! strangely resembles the Love Bug by m-flo Loves BoA to the point that whenever I play the song on IIDX RED, I end up singing the lyrics of the Love Bug.

So, discuss.

The most familiar in the group is Ueno Keiichi (上野圭市), who is Baby Weapon, and who is also half of DJ Swan.

Don't forget she did Break Me Out on good-cool's album. I was also a bit confused when she started using "kanako". I was like "wow kanako hoshino and hoshino souko sound so similar" Then the light went on.

Ah, 'Souko' is someone reading 奏子 (Hoshino's first name in Japanese) wrong when they tried to romanize her name. According to the jp wikipedia, her official site and the konamistyle campaign page, it is "Kanako." She never used 'Souko'

Hahaha, I tried singing that DAKISHIMETEEEE part in INFERNO's long version and even challeged to sing it longer than her and yes, Caldeira is awesome with her. Don't forget Endless Summer Story with DJ Yoshitaka. That one is also a favorite. ^^

I also hear that Sota is a part of SILVER FOX PRODUCTIONS as well. And don't forget that she also got a new song with dj TAKA in GOLD.

I would say that I was a big fan of hers awhile back when her handful of songs were fresh and new (to me at least). I'll still say that Eight Elements of the Star is regarded as one of my overall favorite Bemani albums right now. TAIYO is still among my favorite all time Bemani songs, but I still must ask who wrote the lyrics to it (I have a funny feeling that it may be Junko Karashima, but that's only because she just so happened to write the lyrics to my favorite Naoki, Miyuki, and BeForU related song).

By the way, I must reiterate what I said elsewhere that she's way too cute for her own good.

Speaking of Kanako, I've enjoyed her debut mini-album 8 Elements of The Star. Among the 8 tracks, mostly are appeared on IIDX (6 are from that, 2 are album exclusives), I've enjoyed listening Taiyou, Gekkou, Inferno, Regret, and Hello Again ~only one for you~.

I've finally listened to the EIGHT ELEMENTS OF THE STAR -ANOTHER SENSE- and my favourite track is 太陽～T・A・I・Y・O～(ANOTHER SENSE EDITION). Naoki basically gave the same guitar and drum magic that he gave to Kosaka Riyu's begin to Taiyo.

The DAKISHIMETEEEEEEEEEEEE in inferno... isn't the same. I somehow found it shorter than the rest. Inferno seems more beat-driven now.

Gekkou got turned into... a ballad. Which I find really odd, because I liked the fast pace of the original. D.A.N.C.E! became more trance-like and I'm enjoying that too.

And on Hoshi wo Kono Te ni... never really liked this song, but it might grow on me. Who knows? And I was disappointed in the lack of SPARK!

So overall, not too bad, but could have been better.

I got a chance to listen to it too. I actually enjoy the 'album' but not really as much as I would have liked.

D.A.N.C.E! is rearranged well, and sounds less like Love bug.
Gekkou's acoustic version is okay, I mean, I never imagined the song slow. (Kinda like Under the Sky ~Sayaka's Solo new~)
INFERNO lost its Brazilian House feel for (as kanna puts it) a beat-oriented track.
A new guitar/drum spin on ~TAIYO~, but it works very well. I wonder if this could be put in GF/DM...
