DMX J-paradise 2nd whatever. I don't know if all DMX games are like that, but unless you know how to hold the two buttons down at token entry, you're fucked.

I never even figured out how to use speed mods, or do endless. Just confusing to all get out.

The original Dance Maniax had problems entering tokens as well. It didn't have speed mods or anything fancy, though. Man, DMX was a buggy piece of shit.

Yeah it was. Dance Maniax would start playing song samples for the songs long after you scrolled past them.

Oh, and the earliest DDRs. Heavy had to be unlocked, and once you picked a difficulty, you were stuck on it for the whole credit. Not so fun when you are first starting out.

I think I'm along in liking Beatmania US's song select screen, and in-game frame ) the menus and whatnot were ugly though).

I'm not too big on IIDX 10th's interface as a whole. The two most important things, frame, and song select screen, look fine. The rest is pretty ugly though, and it has the worst system music of any IIDX so far hands down. The song select screen music is almost as bad as Pop'n Iroha's.

I don't mind Best Hits either. It's not good, but it's not offensive in any way either. I also thought 7 looked pretty alright, but the game itself is quite a pain to play unlike Best Hits. From what I've seen of Pop'n 8, I don't like it one bit, but maybe it'll grow on me when I get it...

Well, I'd have to say "DDR EXTREME (US version)" but then, they used the japanese "DDR Festival: Dance Dance Revolution" instead of the original EXTREME layout from the arcade. Probably because they thought that it was getting repetive cause of MAX and MAX2 being the same, but I like those and DDR EXTREME2's layout, which is DDR Strikes lay out too.

I particularly hate the DDR festival interface and I'm not too fond of the strike one either.

Extreme AC has grown on me after so many years, I can't not like it

Oh, beatmania US and ITG get to live in this thread too. Out of all the things they could have done with ITG and they did THAT! It looks like a 5-year old made it in MSPaint!

Max2 US = Max2 Japan, no? And how can you hate MAX2? It's so nice...

Dancing Stage Fusion is horrible. It is meant to look accessible, but only winds up looking cheap, and it doesn't have a Super Easy Mode to accompy it.

DDR Supernova. While at first glance, it may look snazzy, after a while, you'll realize then that it was quite boring and repetitive.

DDR Universe. If you know what the Select Music screen looks like, you'd know where I'm coming from.

Not really. All the IIDX games since 10tth look exactly the same to me; only the song select background animations and music BGM is any different pretty much.
