Marketplace Rating: 6 | He's definitely a great artist, but his later works in Pop'n have started to become rather repetitive. It's blatantly obvious that Celtic Wind, for example, uses a lot of the same instruments and sounds from his previous works, and while Contemporary Nation (Beyond the Earth) and Contemporary Nation 2 (Sayonara*Heaven) are great songs many of his songs just sound too much his previous works.

Marketplace Rating: 6 | Along Beyond the Earth and Sayonara Heaven (both of which I know appeared in IIDX), I believe Nekomata Master has three other songs exclusive to Pop'n thus far (but I don't play IIDX so I might be wrong); Forest Snow (月雪に舞う花のように), Genso Suikoden V (女王騎士) and Celtic Wind (Caring Dance).
The similarities are definitely still there.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | It's still annoying how similar sounding many of his songs are, though. I was actually kind of glad he was absent from pop'n FEVER! CS. I like the contemporary nations and Forest Snow...there wasn't really any need to keep using that same style of music after that. Reflection into the Eden was great.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | That's his style... Hell, it's like saying "I'm sick of Naoki because he keeps producing the same shit!" (and if you think I'm lying, just how many versions of Dive are there?). And, just like Naoki, Nekomata's style was considered fresh and awesome when it first came out but is fast becoming horridly boring. He'll need to expand his range for people to maintain interest.
With that said, at least the people over at Suikoden know when to pick great artists for their game As if BtE wasn't a blatantly obvious Suikoden-style track anyway
Here's hoping for a future style of his work that, whilst even better than his previous work, will also maintain elements of his original masterpieces.
By the way, I changed the thread title for you. Also, I still think Beyond the Earth is one of the most perfect pieces of music ever composed.

EDIT: and can anyone tell me what other songs in the Suikoden series he did other than that one song in IIDX RED?

I think a lot of people are jumping the omg Nekomata master sucks bandwagon lately. Look at good-cool, Naoki, Orange Lounge (Yes I know it's Tomosuke), and Akira Yamoka, they all have a similar style, not that it's a bad thing.
We know Nekomata master can change his style up a bit, like with coded arms, reflection of eden, and the smile of you. It's just a matter of time before he starts taking another alias to experiment with different styles of music (Like tomosuke and wac) I like his new music even if it is the same style. The melody is always strong and unique at least, even if using the same instruments.

Marketplace Rating: 0 | Yes, I have to agree with someone that Nekomata Master is a breath of fresh air from other Bemani artists (and he's kinda underrated too; although gradually, he's becoming more and more active recently). From his works, I've enjoyed Beyond the Earth, satellite020712, The Smile of You, and Suijou no Teitoku. Among the ones I've mentioned, satellite020712 and The Smile of You seems to be different-sounding among his other works, esp. at the case of satellite020712 (where in that song, he strays away from that unique ethnic style of his at that song, showing his futuristic, techno side).

Marketplace Rating: 1 | I love Nekomata Master. I seriously can't understand why people are saying that his songs are repetitive - I do agree that they do have common elements and a common feel to them but that's because he's the one doing all the composing and arrangement. It's the same way that TERRA songs have the same feel because the majority of the time it's Naoki doing the arrangement. It's not necessarily a bad thing, it just gives a little element of familiarity from those composers.
I love Nekomata Master, plain and simple. My favourites by him are Sayonara Heaven, Reflection into the EDEN and 女王騎士 while 月雪に舞う花のように's long version is simply godly.

I love Nekomata Master. I must say I wish some of his long songs are better though.
The cut in the middle of Sayonara Heaven was out of place.
Sure, most of his works seem the same, but that's the way I like it.
