On GFdm, I think Boogie Train '03 is too much pop, too little rock.
Has anyone felt something like this toward any particular song?

If there's even one person out there that likes the fact that said song is in the game, it has earned its spot, regardless of what the majority might think. If anything it serves as a decent enough warmup/cooldown/break/transition song, at the very least. Also, to add to that I'm of the opinion that I'll Make Love To You" would be fine in a dating/karaoke game.
