Total Tokens: 13,234.65 Donate Tokens | Music game concepts/project that's not yet thought of/done. ITT, we discuss what the title states. Specifically, I'm thinking more of why Hideyuki Ono hasn't done Classic Party 4 and Odyssey* yet for GFdm, respectively.
Also, I've noticed that the only Bemani artists up to SN who make arcade Konami Originals for DDR have pretty much been limited to Naoki (after all, he's the *ONLY* Bemani artist in 1st mix, and has been making more than 90% of the DDR originals until now), U1 (Make A Jam!, Flow series), jun (sweet sweet magic, True Love), Sota (Star Gate Heaven), and Shoichiro (Fly away; ChiyoTia's the vocalist). As much as most DDR fans would rather forget and ignore, Thomas Howard Lichtenstein (yes, *that vocalist from GFdm*) made La Senorita and Silent Hill back for 3rd Mix, as both songs got arcade debuts! I just hope as soon as 2008, everybody else in Bemani would make Konami Originals for DDR.
As for IIDX/PoMu, I'm thinking a collaboration of Des-ROW, Mutsuhiko Izumi, Naoki, and Taka. Fan-gasm for me, although it's too GFdm-ish. Specifically for IIDX, what I have in mind is a boss song series that's *not* from DDR--a IIDX-exclusive boss song series. I still remember when 7th Style got MAX300 and 9th Style got PSM for Extra Stage, respectively.
Please feel free to share other concepts you have in mind here.
*PS: The basic concept of Classic Party Odyssey is to make a new long CP song that is consisted of the classical pieces from the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.
PPS: Also feel free to add/revive any aborted concepts as well.

| Would Cardinal Gate would be considered a boss series?
What I want is some transplanting of artists. Sota in GF/DM, more NAOKI in PoMu, Kanako Hoshino in DDR, etc.
I'd like to see all the vocalists band together for some hyper mega eurobeat vocal mix. (Kanako, BeForU, Sana, Emi from kosumosu, Junko Hirata, Junko Karashima) | |

| Just like when THL did Silent Hill & La Senorita back in DDR 3rd Mix, or more in tune with Taka, doing going up & Shippo no rock for GFdm? Quote: |

| Dude, you forgot Ai Suzuki, Kumiko Ishizaka, and the 2 girls from Twinkle*berry.
PS: A *lot* of US DDR fans consider Tears as the closest thing that DDR has for an emo song. I just hope Asaki would make an authentic emo DDR song.

Anyway, as for a realistic hypothetical collaboration or remix, I was thinking of having someone like Shoichiro Hirata or kors k remix "more deep(ver.2.1)" since I'm curious as to know how it would sound as a more upbeat 2 step. Better yet, I'd like to see either one of them redeem SLAKE's awful "I'm for Real."
I also always wanted to see a collaboration between wac and Osamu Kubota until I found out that Osamu Kubota did an arrangement of "Scorpion Fire" in this one v-rare. More stuff made between them would be nice.
I also said this in another thread, but one overlooked vocalist, Miharu Arisawa of BeForU, should really sing some stuff in GF/DM. If any of you heard the album version of "I am..." one can only imagine what it would be like if she sung some of the good stuff that Miyuki Kunitake would sing.

Also, I just hope Konami would reconsider reviving the long song concept on DDR. I am well-aware it flopped on DDR 5th Mix, given that it was initially experimental. However, it became successful, and eventually, staples on GFdm. Its success on GFdm would be a perfect precedent for DDR (and hopefully, IIDX. PoMu already did it as well, while IIDX doesn't) to follow. Just look at GFdm's: playable at the start (except for E-Amusement songs), and can push the 3 min. range. In addition, I just hope they'd make regular DDR songs longer than 1:30-1:51 range, and go beyond the 2 minute range. I'm pretty sure PoMu has > 2 min. ~ 3 min. regular songs.
For IIDX, I just hope it would revive a couple of licenses from Initial D. It gives neophytes like me more sense of familiarity than what Bemani crossovers did as early as IIDX substream.

DoLL stayed at ~1:57). This would make one wonder even more why they cut some songs like No. 13, which was only 4 seconds longer than DoLL.
Another thing though, is that I've also noticed that IIDX songs are getting longer as well. I think it's INORI and DAWN that near the 2:30 mark.

EDIT: about DDR songs. rainbow rainbow is the exact same length, but it got cut... NIJIIRO is shorter than DoLL, but it got cut. And MOON? 2 seconds longer... I don't get why they even bothered cutting them. I guess it has to do with AC vs. CS origination?

With the Yoshitaka (scratching) IIDX part, the TAKA (bass)/Mr.T (drums)/Tatsh (guitar) GF/DM part, and the Kanako (singing) karaoke revolution part, there can be one monstrosity of joint arcade machines. Hell, they should have had NAOKI come in with a Keyboardmania part as well.

But I guess that would be too much of a departure from the IIDX game that it would never see the light of day, in IIDX at least. Probably not even in beatmania itself as a whole =\
Music wise, I'd also like to see longer songs like ITG for DDR and any songs put into DDR over from IIDX be not cut for time.
