.rar? RAWR!

What is the .rar extension for? What do I need to do to get the files that are in rar form? I'm trying to get song pack and I am unsure of what I will need to get the songs.

i really dislike compression like rar. i hate it when i want to download a torrent & the seeder packed up the files in a rar. sometimes i just want one file from the torrent (maybe i have the other files already downloaded), but if it's in a rar i can't get just what i need. then, i can't help seed a file.

if you find other files that are mysterious, you can look at pages like http://filext.com/ or http://www.dotwhat.net/ to get more info about the file extension and what programs you need to deal with those file types. good luck!

Often torrents are rar'd precisely so that people have to download and seed the whole thing, rather than just taking one file from it.
