Asato, Pepe, I thought there's an unwritten rule in Bemani, which states, "The number of AC debut songs of a specific artist in a specific series dictates that game is that artist's primary."

So far, it's safe to conclude that as of this post, Mutsuhiko Izumi, Asaki, Yuei Uematsu, and Kozo Nakamura can safely claim that GFdm is their primary. On the same vein, nc, NAOKI, U1, and BeForU* are the ONLY Bemani artists who can claim that DDR is their primary, while dj. TAKA & DJ YOSHITAKA can safely claim IIDX is their primary.

On the other hand, jun, even though she started her Bemani career on MAX2 AC, her primary is IIDX, solely on the grounds she has more AC IIDX Originals than she does have AC DDR Originals.

Then, by default, even Sota started his Bemani career on CS DDR 5thMIX, his AC primary is IIDX, due to this reason.

*pre-AVEX works.

Really?? Who told you that xD?? Sota Fujimori makes a lot of comments about his works in DDR OST Booklets... (The Kind Lady one is lovely *v*)... but it really looks that Sota now prefers IIDX...

That's not a good reason at all xS!!

jun also is the sound director of DDR

Also she has like 3 original works for IIDX (without counting Raspberry Heart because is from pop'n music & TËRRA works, because we're talking about her original works): Happy Angel, Why did you go away & CROSSROAD... by other hand in DDR she has 4 songs... Sweet Sweet Love Magic, True Love, SUNKiSS-DROP & PARANOiA ~HADES~ also if you want to count one more (but is a CS xP) you have SUPER SAMURAI (from HOTTEST PARTY)

jun's AC primary is DDR

The reason for me isn't quite accurate but maybe you're right... if Sota keeps doing music for IIDX & DDR... fine for me... (I think his DDR's stuff is (IMO) much better than IIDX... that doesn't mean that Sota's IIDX is bad... not at all)... also pop'n music (I can say that all Sota's pop'n songs are AWESOME!)

We could also just say that they don't have a primary focus in just one particular game. It should be possible to have more of an equal distribution of focus than other artists. I see Sota and jun like shades of gray.

Kinda like Tomosuke...
He has loads of stuff on IIDX, GFDM, and Pop'n...

Besides, I highly doubt figuring out what the artist's primary game would be significant knowledge, anyways... :P

The reason for me isn't quite accurate but maybe you're right.)
1. I'll concede something: my first taste of Bemani was back in the days when IIDX/pop'n have a shitload (read: 20-30) of artists at their disposal, only for some of them to leave Konami altogether, being underused/misused, IMO. Yes, I was referring to the days when DDR was just NAOKI and no one else! Yes, that's also how I learned about that aforementioned unwritten rule.

2. Since when jun inherited that position from NAOKI?

3. Except for the part where I was ignorant about jun's history in Bemani, I got it right, for the most part.

Now, going back to Sota, I've read somewhere that since RED AC, he has a tradition of naming at least one AC IIDX Original after the synthesizer that it was made with. Is it still present in DJ Troopers?

I tottaly agree with that. Let's stop the arguing because, as long as they make music and they're happy with it, everything will be all right, I guess.

Well, that didn't happen in DD and I don't know if ANDROMEDA II counts since, well... it's Sota using Alesis Andromeda again, but it would be awesome he could come back to that, as long as he doesn't use another of his DTM Magazine songs as he did in Pop'n 14.

Okay, so. I have an end for this argument about whether Sota is a DDR or IIDX artist. I ended up asking Sota himself what he thought he was and this is his response (word for word.)

Quote:
About the question, I guess I'm a IIDX artist because as you know,
I joined the beatnation records with other IIDX artists. Well, what do you think?
I think we should just keep listening to Sota's music - agree?

Heh, he guesses? And asks us what we think? I'm sure that if we gave him a choice for being a shade of gray, he'd definitely choose THAT one.

I wanna ask regarding to beatnation summit.
It seems Sota wasn't alone performing at B.S. I see there's a DJ too. who's that?

4 Synthesizers for a live event? o_O

Woah...

I wonder which synthesizer would be Sota's favorite?

4 synths at once?... that's like whoa!

Anyway, I really enjoy Sota's trance works (LttS, the two ANDROMEDA, Back Into The Light and Rise 'n Beauty to name a few), but even the non-trance works deserve some recognition: Just a Little Smile, with you... and also Spring Comes Around from pop'n 13 AC (the long version deserves the listening, no less ^_^).

And his remix of Love Is Eternity on the 10th Anniversary CD is simply too awesome for words... but maybe it's just me.

0:32. And that's only one corner of one wall, so imagine the rest of the room (which, I assume is of a fair size considering that's Sota's home studio.) Though I'm imagining for a synth junkie, 4 synths at a live event is quite normal.
