Well

In any case

I too am not so familiar with the songs on SN1 and SN2

Heck if I remember, the only routine(s) I did in this song library were Innocence of Silence and True Love.

I was about to plan for something on Bad Routine and/or that song from Kylie Minogue........but I just couldn't figure out how to do it right (esp. after studying the vids of Jing and Hugo many times now).

-------------

In any case

I do wish you the best of luck in your freestyle/choreography routines hehe

And do bring us some vids if you can

I used to do it a lot before (when 5th Mix was fresh up until DDR 8th Mix/Extreme).

When Supernova1 came, I still did a bit but not as much (mostly the usual Candy Star double thing that I do.........but that's it). And I haven't did such things on an SN2 unit as of this time.

So yeah.....

Thats cool. idk. Im a dancer/choreographer so DDR is easy to dance on but really techincal cuz of keeping the meter out of the danger zone

Yeah.....I do have to agree with you on some point.

In most cases, machines would usually be at most level 4/medium (which is quite okay)........but in some areas, this does not apply.

Two machines, one SN1 and one SN2 machine, in my country for instance (are set to level 6/hard) so it really becomes hard to do freestyle/choreography without missing steps.

Though they said that they had to compensate with making the price per game cheaper so in return, they bumped up the game difficulty and decreased the time limit for the actual game play.

Kinda sucks if you ask me

Though as mentioned, at least the price per game is very cheap.

Moral the story: You can't always have your cake and eat it (at least in this case).

Well yeah.

Generally PIU has been known as a game that is easier to freestyle/choreo than DDR

But why are we talking about such (it's offtopic :P).

Anyways, do tell me though when you get your vids up and running.

In terms of the game itself?

Well..........

Since 1999 (so heh guess that makes me part of the first gen group of players).

Obviously, it was 1st mix back then (and I even remembered then that I couldn't pass "Have You Never Been Mellow" for a week ).

The only time I could pass songs on Trick/Another was on 2nd mix and 3rd mix.

When 4th Mix came, that was the only time when I cleared my first song on heavy/expert (or they called it MANIAC during the old days)

As for freestyle/choreography, as I've mentioned earlier, I started when DDR 5th Mix and DDR MAX came along.

And most probably because of the numerous freestyle/choreography vids that were posted on the internet (it was mostly from DDRfreak back then)

So there

Hope that gave you an insight on how I ventured into this game

You mean me?

Nah.........

In fact, I'm the one who (was) looking for someone who could teach me.

Granted, that time, there were only less than three people who did freestyle/choreo on this game (and I was one of them).

Kinda sucked (as we were the only ones back then).

Anyways, all I can say is:
Just continue to do your freestyle/choreo and try some other things (like going beyond improv).

That should really make things interesting (I suppose)

thats cool. It's hard finding people who play well. I guess for competition. there weren't many in NE and neither in KS. To my knowledge at least. I'll make it cool here I guess lol

Hmm...........

Lead and they'll follow

Hehe.

It takes courage though and you'll get many responses (both good and bad).

Nevertheless, just believe in yourself and you'll do fine

You can do it hehe
